Description
本出願は、2011年12月21日付で出願され、”トウを分離して引っ張ることによる複合材料のための織物プリフォーム形成方法及び装置”と題する米国仮出願13/333596号の優先権の利益を享受する。これにより、上記仮出願の開示は、引用により組み込むものである。

Claims (25)
- 樹脂を添加しうる織物プリフォーム形成により複合部材を形成するための、型の周りに複数の軸トウを有する織物を固定する方法であって、
前記織物の前記軸トウが、全体的に型の中心軸と直交する方向に伸びるように、前記型の上で前記織物の一端を受け取るステップと、
前記織物の前記型に取り付けられない他端の上で前記複数の軸トウの少なくとも幾つかを分離して引っ張るステップと、
前記織物プリフォームを造るために、前記織物及び前記型が前記型の中心軸周りに互いに対し相対的に回転することにより、前記型の周りに前記織物を包装するステップと、
を備えていることを特徴とする方法。 - 包装の際、前記軸トウの少なくとも幾つかを分離して引っ張ることにより、前記織物の残りに対し、前記軸トウが分離して繰り出されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記軸トウの少なくとも幾つかを分離して引っ張る前記ステップと、
前記型の周りに前記織物を包装する前記ステップと、が同時に行われることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記織物が、前記複数の軸トウ及び複数の2軸トウを含む3軸編組織物であることを特徴とする請求項1記載方法。
- 前記複数の軸トウを分離して引っ張ることにより、前記軸トウの少なくとも幾つかが前記2軸トウに対して滑るようになることを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記型は、マンドレルであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記型が、全体的に円筒形状であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記型が、前記中心軸から異なる半径距離を有する表面を持つ非円筒形状であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記複数の軸トウの各々を分離して引っ張ることは、夫々のクラッチに前記軸トウを接続することにより実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記複数の軸トウの各々を分離して引っ張ることは、前記軸トウに重しを接続することにより実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記複数の軸トウの前記他端が、分離して引っ張ることを実行する部材であって、夫々のクラッチ及び夫々の重しを含むグループから選択された部材と結合する中間コネクタに取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記中間コネクタは、夫々のクラッチ及び夫々の重しを含むグループから選択された前記部材から延びるラインに取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記複数の軸トウの各々に加えられた張力が、実質的に等しいことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記軸トウが、前記織物プリフォーム上のフープ・トウであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記軸トウの少なくとも幾つかが、他の軸トウとは異なる割合で繰り出されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記幾つかの軸トウの他の軸トウに対する繰り出し割合は、前記軸トウが その周りを包装される前記型の局所的形状により決定されることを特徴とする請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記織物は、前記複数の軸トウの少なくとも幾つかを分離して引っ張らずに形成された織物プリフォームよりもより高密度に包装され、それにより、樹脂が前記織物プリフォームに加えられて形成された前記複合部材において、より高い織物対樹脂体積比を許容することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法により形成された織物プリフォーム。
- 複数の軸トウを有する織物から織物プリフォームを形成するための装置であって、
中心軸を有し、前記織物の一端を収容するための型と、
前記型から距離を置いて設けられた複数の個別張力付加機構と、を備え、
前記複数の個別張力付加機構は、初めに前記型に収容されない前記織物の他端で、前記織物の前記複数の軸トウの少なくとも幾つかと個別に接続され、
前記織物の一端が、前記型に収容され、前記型の及び前記織物の少なくとも1つが前記中心軸周りに回転して、前記型の周りに前記織物を包装する際に、前記複数の個別張力付加機構が個別に前記軸トウに張力を加えることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記複数の個別張力付加機構が、対応するクラッチを各々含むことを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記複数の個別張力付加機構が、対応する重しを各々含むことを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記複数の個別張力付加機構は、前記軸トウの前記他端に取り付けるための中間コネクタを有し、前記中間コネクタの各々が、対応するクラッチ及び対応する重しを含むグループから選択された部材と接続することを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記対応するクラッチ及び前記対応する重しを含む前記グループから選択された前記部材の各々が、前記軸トウに実質的に同じ張力を供給するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項21記載の装置。
- 前記型が、前記中心軸の周りに回転されるマンドレルであることを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記型が、全体的に円筒形状であることを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
- 前記型が、前記中心軸から異なる半径距離を有する表面を持つ非円筒形状であることを特徴とする請求項18記載の装置。
