Description
The present invention relates to a method for extracting nuclear fuel material in a nuclear power plant, and more particularly to extracting molten nuclear fuel material present in a reactor pressure vessel and molten nuclear fuel material that has fallen outside the reactor pressure vessel in a reactor containment vessel. The present invention relates to a method for extracting nuclear fuel material in a suitable nuclear power plant.
In a boiling water nuclear power plant, a plurality of fuel assemblies including nuclear fuel materials are loaded in a reactor core. A fuel assembly that has experienced operation of the reactor at a predetermined number of operation cycles after being loaded in the core is carried out of the reactor as a spent fuel assembly.
An example of a method for carrying out spent fuel assemblies from a nuclear reactor in a boiling water nuclear power plant is described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-262182. The spent fuel assembly is taken out from the reactor using a fuel exchanger movably installed on the operation floor in the reactor building, and is transported to a fuel storage pool formed in the reactor building.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-302488 describes a boring device. This boring device has a guide frame vertically attached to a base, and includes a spindle that moves up and down along the guide frame, a rod container, and a rod gripping device. A boring rod connected to the spindle is rotated by the spindle, and the boring rod excavates the ground to be excavated as the spindle descends. A bit for excavating land is provided at the lower end of the lowermost boring rod. As the boring rod is lowered, the boring rod held by the rod container is coupled to the spindle and the upper end of the lowered boring rod held by the rod gripping device. In this way, the boring rod is added and it is possible to excavate to a deep position. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-225322 describes the coupling of a boring rod having an inner tube. A plurality of boring rods are detachably coupled with the inner tube.
JP 2007-24586 describes an abrasive water jet cutting method. Abrasive high-pressure water containing, for example, alumina particles is sprayed from the spray nozzle toward the cutting object to cut the cutting object.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-220161 discloses a method in which concrete is filled in a bucket whose bottom can be opened and closed, this bucket is transferred to a concrete placement position, and then the bottom of the bucket is opened by pulling a wire to place the concrete in a predetermined position. Describes the concrete placement method to be placed.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-350516 describes a bucket for a power shovel having a bucket body that can be covered with a cover that can be opened and closed.
In the method of transporting spent fuel assemblies from the reactor described in JP-A-8-262182, the nuclear fuel material in the reactor of the boiling water nuclear power plant is present in a healthy fuel assembly. In some cases, the spent fuel assembly is unloaded from the core. However, in the unlikely event that an accident occurs in which the nuclear fuel material contained in the fuel assembly loaded in the core of the nuclear reactor melts, such as the nuclear plant of the Three Mile Nuclear Power Station, this molten nuclear fuel material Is extremely difficult, and it takes a long time to carry out the melted and solidified nuclear fuel material (fuel debris).
In particular, when cutting fuel debris from the operation floor inside the reactor building and taking out the cut fuel debris, the inside of the reactor containment vessel and the reactor pressure vessel is used to shield the radiation emitted from the fuel debris. It is conceivable that the reactor containment vessel is filled with cooling water and the inside of the reactor containment vessel is flooded with cooling water. When performing such submergence, if there is a leaking part in the reactor containment vessel, the submergence cannot be performed. For this reason, it is necessary to check whether or not there is a leaking location in the reactor containment vessel, and if there is a leaking location in the reactor containment vessel, it is necessary to block the leaking location. After sealing the leaking location existing in the reactor containment vessel, the operation of submerging the inside of the reactor containment vessel with cooling water can be performed. However, it takes a long time to perform an inspection for confirming the presence or absence of a leakage point in the reactor containment vessel.
Even in the case where a leak location exists in the reactor containment vessel, it is desirable to take out the molten nuclear fuel material present in the reactor containment vessel as quickly as possible.
An object of the present invention is to provide a nuclear fuel material extraction method in a nuclear power plant that can extract molten nuclear fuel material present in a reactor containment vessel in a short time.
A feature of the present invention that achieves the above-described object is that a plurality of radiation shielding bodies each having a hollow body in which a radiation shielding material is sealed are filled in the reactor containment vessel, and the plurality of radiation shielding bodies are used as the reactor containment vessel. Covering the molten nuclear fuel material present inside,
Lower the cutting part of the boring device to the upper surface of the molten nuclear fuel material in the reactor containment vessel filled with the radiation shield,
Cutting the molten nuclear fuel material using the cutting part,
The purpose is to collect a cut piece of molten nuclear fuel material.
Since the reactor containment vessel is filled with multiple radiation shields containing radiation shielding materials inside the hollow body, even if leaks exist in the containment vessel, the leak location of the containment vessel is confirmed. There is no need to perform inspections and work to close the leak location of the containment vessel, and the radiation containment material inside the reactor containment vessel is substantially filled with the radiation shield material within the multiple radiation shield bodies. can do. For this reason, radiation can be shielded by the radiation shielding material in the radiation shielding body, so that even if the nuclear fuel material in the reactor core melts, it is necessary to take out the molten nuclear fuel material in the reactor containment vessel outside the reactor building. Time can be shortened.
According to the present invention, the molten nuclear fuel material present in the reactor containment vessel can be taken out in a short time.
Examples of the present invention will be described below.
A nuclear fuel material extraction method in the nuclear power plant of the first embodiment applied to a boiling water nuclear power plant, which is a preferred embodiment of the present invention, will be described with reference to FIGS.

The upper lid of PCV and RPV, the steam dryer, and the steam separator are removed (step S2). The
The water-filled shield is filled into the PCV (step S3). The filling of the water-filled
Thereafter, the bucket filled with the water-filled

The boring device and the cutting device are carried into the operation floor in the reactor building (step S5). The
The
Although not shown, cooling water is supplied into the

As the
The
As described above, the lowering and raising of the cutter are repeated, and further, all the fuel assemblies in the
In step S6, the
If the
The RPV and γ-ray shielding body is cut and removed (step S7). In order to easily cut the
The
Further, the handling
The
The removal of the water-sealed
The PCV is cut and removed (step S8). The cutting of the
Decontamination of the inner surface of the biological shield is performed (step S9). After the
The

A work platform is installed in the PCV (step S11). The

According to the present embodiment, a large number of water-filled

In this embodiment, the

If the hollow body is, for example, a sealed metal container, the radiation shielding body is placed in a metal container with a plurality of lead particles (or lead powder) or a plurality of iron particles (or iron powder). ), The hollow body is cut by lowering the
A certain amount of water that is a radiation shielding material, a certain amount, by using a shielding
The nuclear fuel material extraction method in the nuclear power plant of Example 2 applied to the boiling water nuclear power plant, which is another preferred embodiment of the present invention, will be described with reference to FIG.
In the nuclear fuel material extraction method in the nuclear power plant of the present embodiment, cutting and removal of the
Also in the present embodiment, as in the first embodiment, installation of the container 28 (step S1), removal of the steam dryer and the steam separator (step S2), and filling of the water-filled
Before the
Thereafter, a decontamination operation (step S9) is performed on the inner surface of the
Then, a part of the water-filled
Decontamination is performed on the inner surface of the
Thereafter, the water-filled
Thereafter, installation of the work platform 44 (step S11) is performed. For the installation of the
After the installation of the
