Description
以下に、光電変換素子の具体例を示す。
n型半導体粒子として、平均1次粒径が約10〜30nmの酸化タングステン粒子を用意した。平均1次粒径は、BET法による比表面積から換算された平均粒径である。この粒子に水、エタノール、および界面活性剤を混合し乳鉢で10分間撹拌してスラリー状とし、さらに自転公転ミキサーで10分間撹拌して半導体粒子のペーストを得た。
色素および塩基酸有機分子をn型半導体電極表面に吸着させるための浸漬時間を、下記表1に示すように変更した以外は前述した実施例1と同様の手法により、実施例2〜10の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子をノナン二酸からペンタン二酸に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、塩基酸有機分子の溶液を調製した。こうした溶液を用いて塩基酸有機分子をn型半導体電極の表面に吸着させた以外は実施例1と同様の手法により実施例11の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子をノナン二酸からトリデカン二酸に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、塩基酸有機分子の溶液を調製した。こうした溶液を用いて塩基酸有機分子をn型半導体電極の表面に吸着させた以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、実施例12の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子をノナン二酸からジメチルエイコサン二酸に変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして、塩基酸有機分子の溶液を調製した。こうした溶液を用いて塩基酸有機分子をn型半導体電極の表面に吸着させた以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、実施例13の光電変換素子を得た。
n型半導体粒子を、平均1次粒径が約10〜30nmの酸化タングステン粒子(70質量%)と、平均1次粒径が約5〜15nmの酸化チタン粒子(30質量%)との混合物に変更した以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、実施例14の光電変換素子を得た。平均1次粒径は、BET法による比表面積から換算された平均粒径である。
n型半導体粒子を、平均1次粒径が約10〜30nmの酸化タングステン粒子(70質量%)と、平均1次粒径が約5〜15nmの酸化スズ粒子(30質量%)との混合物に変更した以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、実施例15の光電変換素子を得た。平均1次粒径は、BET法による比表面積から換算された平均粒径である。
塩基酸有機分子を吸着せず、色素を吸着させるための浸漬時間を0.5時間とした以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、比較例1の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子を吸着せず、色素を吸着させるための浸漬時間を72時間とした以外は実施例1と同様の手法により、比較例2の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子としてノナン二酸を用いた以外は実施例1と同様にして、塩基酸有機分子の溶液を調製した。また、100mLのアセトニトリル中に、0.5mol/Lのリチウムアイオダイド(LiI)、0.03mol/Lのヨウ素(I2)、0.3mol/Lのメチルヘキシルイミダソリウムアイオダイド、および0.58mol/Lのt−ブチルピリジン(TBP)を含有する電解質組成物を用意した。
塩基酸有機分子としてトリデカン二酸を用いた以外は実施例16と同様の手法により、実施例17の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子が溶解される溶媒を、t−ブタノール/アセトニトリル(体積比1:1)の混合液に変更した以外は実施例16と同様の手法により、実施例18の光電変換素子を得た。
塩基酸有機分子を吸着させない以外は実施例16と同様の手法により、比較例3の光電変換素子を得た。

Claims (3)
- 酸化タングステンを含むn型半導体粒子と、前記n型半導体粒子の表面に結合した色素と、前記n型半導体粒子の表面に結合した、少なくとも2つのカルボン酸基を有する有機分子(ただし、4−ブロモイソフタル酸を除く)とを含むn型半導体電極と、
前記n型半導体電極に対向して配置された対向電極と、
前記n型半導体電極と前記対向電極との間に配置された電解液層と
を具備することを特徴とする光電変換素子。 - 前記有機分子の量は、0.01×10−8mol/cm2以上1×10−8mol/cm2以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光電変換素子。
- 前記有機分子の量は、前記色素の量と前記有機分子の量との合計に対して、モル数基準で1%以上50%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光電変換素子。
