Description
本出願は、ここに参考文献として合体させる2005年6月24日出願の出願番号No.60/693,716号の優先権を主張するものである。
本出願は、特に、脱毛、パターン脱毛(pattern hair loss)(脱毛症:alopecia)等の障害を治療するための方法に関する。本発明は、更に、毛嚢中のNAD含有量を増大させ、それによってこれらの組織において利用可能なエネルギーを増大させ、更にそのことによって、頭髪の成長、ボリューム(fullness)、厚み、その全体的な質を高めることにも関する。更に詳しくは、本発明は、女性におけるこれらの状態の治療に関する。
女性型脱毛(脱毛症:alopecia)は、約2,000万人の女性に影響を与えている。脱毛は思春期に始まり、人生を通じて進行する。早期診断と治療が最適な治療を達成するにおいて重要であるが、その状態の早期検出は残念なことに困難である。脱毛のパターンは非常に多様であるが、頭皮の頂部全体に渡る毛髪数の減少が一般に生じる。女性型脱毛の良好な指標は、境界線の広がりとポニーテールが薄くなることである。通常、一日の抜け毛の数は100〜125本を上回ることはないが、休止期段階に入った毛嚢は、成長期段階に再び入ることはなく、その結果、活性毛嚢の緩慢な純損失が起こる。この状態の治療オプションは限られているが、毛髪移植、ホルモン補充、カルシウムホメオスタシスに影響を与える薬剤であるミノキシジル、等がある。リ(Li)ほか、J.Invest Dermatol, 117(6): 1594-1600(2001):非特許文献1を参照。2%のミノキシジルの局所投与がこの状態のための唯一の認可されている薬剤治療法である。
本発明は、毛嚢を刺激し、それによって、特に女性における脱毛症などの毛髪成長障害の治療に役立つ組成物に関する。関連する個体群の治療方法も本発明の特徴構成である。
例1
ルードヴィヒ分類(Ludwig type)I−III女性型脱毛症(ルードヴィッヒ(Ludwig)ほか, Br. J. Dermatol., 97(3): 247-254 (1977))を有し、インフォームド・コンセント手続きを完了した20〜80歳の60名の女性対象体を、二重盲検プラセボ比較計画を使用する6ヶ月のパイロット研究に登録した。対象体はランダムに、プラセボ(20名、賦形剤のみ)と、アクティブ群(40名、0.5%ニコチン酸オクチルと5.0%のニコチン酸ミリスチルとを含有する賦形剤)とに割り当てられた。処方された製品は同じ容器に入れられた。トリシロキサンとジメチコンとが前記製剤の主要な成分であった。前記アクティブはビタミン由来物質であるので、研究された前記プラセボとアクティブ製剤との両方が現在のFDAガイドライン下では化粧品として分類される。
この例は、本発明のニコチン酸アルキルエステルの適用が、その中のNAD含有量を高めることによって、いかにして毛嚢のエネルギー使用状況を改善したかを記載するものである。
Claims (7)
- ルードヴィヒ分類I−III女性型脱毛障害を治療するために有用な組成物であって、
(i)第1のニコチン酸アルキルエステル、ここで、前記ニコチン酸アルキルエステルのアルキル成分は、直鎖又は分岐状であり、かつ、11〜22の炭素原子を含む、
(ii)第2のニコチン酸アルキルエステル、ここで、前記ニコチン酸アルキルエステルのアルキル成分は、直鎖又は分岐状であり、かつ、7〜10の炭素原子を含む、及び、
(iii)薬学的に許容可能な担体、とからなり、
ただし、ニコチン酸オクチルとニコチン酸ミリスチルの組み合わせは含まない、組成物。 - 前記第1のニコチン酸アルキルエステルのアルキル成分が、11〜16の炭素原子を含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記第2のニコチン酸アルキルエステルのアルキル成分が、8〜10の炭素原子を含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- シャンプーの形態である請求項1に記載の組成物。
- リンスの形態である請求項1に記載の組成物。
- エマルジョンの形態である請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ゲルの形態である請求項1に記載の組成物。
