Description
先ず、難燃組成物中の難燃剤の配合割合に関する試験を行った。実施例1〜実施例6及び比較例1〜比較例3の樹脂構造体では、厚さ0.2mmのポリプロピレン製シート材を上記実施形態(図2参照)のように折り畳み、コア層を形成した。このとき、コア層の高さは4.4mmであり、各セルの径は5.0mmであった。コア層の高さは、図2(b)及び(c)に示す上壁21の上面から下壁22までの長さであり、コア層の径は、対向する中間壁23間の長さである。また、スキン層の厚みを0.4mmとし、スキン層をコア層の上面及び下面にそれぞれ熱溶着した。
次に、実施例3及び実施例4の樹脂構造体におけるスキン層単体での難燃性を「JIS K7201−2(ISO 4589−2)」に基づき酸素指数を指標として試験した。なお、酸素指数とは、試験材料が燃焼を持続するのに必要な最低酸素濃度であり、燃焼時間が180秒以上継続するか、又は、点火後に試験材料が50mm以上燃え続けた時に、燃焼が持続したとみなされる。なお、大気中の酸素濃度はおよそ21%であることから、酸素指数が21以下であれば、その材料は大気中で燃焼が持続する材料であるとみなされる。そして、材料の酸素指数が24以上であれば、樹脂構造体の難燃性の材料(スキン層)として使用できる。
次に、難燃組成物で構成されるスキン層の厚みに関する試験を行った。実施例7〜実施例10では、スキン層の厚みをそれぞれ0.3、0.5、0.7、1.0mmとし、それ以外の条件を実施例3と同一とした。そして、実施例3、実施例7〜実施例10及び比較例1を、上述した鉄道車両用材料燃焼試験に供して難燃性を検討した。この難燃性試験に基づく評価結果を表2に示す。
次に、樹脂構造体のセルの寸法を変更して試験を行った。実施例11では、コア層を構成するシート材の厚みを0.3mm、コア層の高さを12mm、各セルのセル径を8.0mmに設定した。これら以外のスキン層の厚みや難燃剤配合割合等の条件は、実施例3と同一とした。そして、実施例3及び実施例11を、上述した鉄道車両用材料燃焼試験に供して難燃性を検討した。難燃性試験に基づく評価結果を表3に示す。
Claims (3)
- 複数のセルからなるコア層と、前記コア層の上下両面に配置される一対のスキン層とを備えた樹脂構造体であって、
前記一対のスキン層のうち少なくとも一方は、熱可塑性樹脂と前記熱可塑性樹脂の可燃性を低下させる難燃剤とを含有する難燃組成物により構成され、
前記難燃組成物は、前記難燃剤としてハロゲンを含まないリン系難燃剤及び窒素含有化合物系難燃剤を含有し、
前記リン系難燃剤は、リン酸とジアミンとの塩、リン酸エステル系難燃剤、縮合リン酸エステル系難燃剤、又は赤燐であり、前記窒素含有化合物系難燃剤は、リン酸とメラミンとの塩又はポリリン酸アンモニウム化合物であり、
前記熱可塑性樹脂100重量部に対する前記リン系難燃剤及び窒素含有化合物系難燃剤の配合割合は、5〜80重量部であることを特徴とする樹脂構造体。 - 前記熱可塑性樹脂はポリプロピレンであり、前記難燃組成物中における前記リン系難燃剤と前記窒素含有化合物系難燃剤との重量比は、3:1〜1:1であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の樹脂構造体。
- 前記コア層は、塑性を有する1枚のシートからなり、
前記コア層は、前記コア層内にて多角柱状又は円柱状の複数のセルを互いに隣接させるように前記シート材を折り畳み、所定の形状に成形することにより形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の樹脂構造体。
