Claims (1)
- 縦方向に延びる中心軸線を有して内部に被処理液が供給される円筒状の濾過スクリーンと、この濾過スクリーンの内部に収容されて上記中心軸線回りに回転させられるスクリューと、上記濾過スクリーンの少なくとも外周部および底部を覆うように設けられて該濾過スクリーンとの間に上記被処理液から濾過された濾液を保持する濾液空間を形成する濾過容器とを備え、上記濾過容器の上部には、上記濾液空間に保持された上記濾液を排出する濾液排出部が設けられるとともに、上記濾過容器の下部には、上記濾液空間に沈降した固形物を引き抜いて間欠的に排出する引き抜き手段が設けられている縦型濾過濃縮機と、
この縦型濾過濃縮機とは異なる他の濃縮機とを用いた濃縮方法であって、
上記被処理液として下水汚泥の初沈汚泥を上記縦型濾過濃縮機に供給して濾過濃縮する第1の濾過濃縮工程と、
最終沈殿池から排出された下水汚泥の余剰汚泥を上記他の濃縮機に供給して濾過濃縮する第2の濾過濃縮工程と、
上記第1の濾過濃縮工程において濾過濃縮された濃縮液と上記第2の濾過濃縮工程において濾過濃縮された濃縮液をメタン発酵槽に供給して発酵させる工程とを含むことを特徴とする縦型濾過濃縮機を用いた濃縮方法。
