Claims (4)
- ハニカム体の両端の間に延在する交差する内壁によって画成され、かつ、交互パターンで配列された不均等な断面寸法を有する、複数の平行なチャネルと、
前記チャネルを取り囲み、さらに前記内壁と相互接続している外周壁と、
を備えたハニカム体であって、
前記チャネルが、前記外周壁に隣接するチャネルを少なくとも1列含む第1の領域と、残りのチャネルを含む第2の領域とに分けられ、
前記第1の領域における内壁が、前記外周壁にまで及ぶ軸に沿って増大する厚さを有し、前記第2の領域における内壁厚の1.01〜4倍の厚さを有する、ハニカム体。 - 前記第1の領域が、前記外周壁に隣接した少なくとも4列のチャネルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のハニカム体。
- 前記チャネルが、第1の断面積を有する入口チャネルと、第2の断面積を有する出口チャネルとを含み、
前記第2の断面積が、前記第1の断面積より小さく、前記入口および出口チャネルが交互パターンで配列され、
前記入口チャネルが前記ハニカム体の出口端において塞栓され、前記出口チャネルが前記ハニカム体の入口端において塞栓されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のハニカム体。 - 前記入口チャネルが、前記出口チャネルより1.1〜2倍大きい水力直径を有することを特徴とする請求項3記載のハニカム体。
