Claims (9)
- ガスを浄化するフィルタとして用いられるハニカム構造体であって、
多角形状の断面形状を有する複数の内部セルが形成されたコア部と、
前記コア部を包囲する筒状のシェル部と、を備え、
前記コア部は、前記内部セルのそれぞれを仕切るコア隔壁を有し、
前記シェル部は、
間隙を介して前記コア部を包囲する筒状の側壁と、
前記コア部と前記側壁との間に、前記コア部を包囲するように配置された複数の第1シェル隔壁と、を有し、
前記コア部の外周には、前記側壁に対向しかつ前記側壁に対して凹となるように接続された一対の前記コア隔壁の第1角部と、前記側壁に対向しかつ前記側壁に対して凸となるように接続された一対の前記コア隔壁の第2角部とが形成され、
前記第1シェル隔壁は、前記第1角部と前記側壁との間に掛け渡されており、前記第1角部と交互に並ぶ前記第2角部は前記側壁に接続されておらず、
前記第1シェル隔壁は、前記側壁に接続される平板状の第1接続部を含み、
前記多角形における最長の対角線の長さより大きい間隔をもって隣り合う前記第1接続部の間では、前記第2角部と前記側壁との間に第2シェル隔壁が掛け渡され、
前記第2シェル隔壁は、前記側壁に接続される平板上の第2接続部を含み、
隣り合う前記第1接続部と前記第2接続部との間隔は、前記多角形における最長の対角線の長さ以下となっており、
前記多角形における最長の対角線の長さより小さい間隔をもって隣り合う前記第1接続部の間では、前記第2角部と前記側壁との間に第2シェル隔壁が掛け渡されていない、ハニカム構造体。 - 前記第1シェル隔壁は、前記側壁と80〜100度の角度を成すように、前記側壁に接続されている、請求項1記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記第1シェル隔壁は、前記側壁と略90度の角度を成すように、前記側壁に接続されている、請求項1又は2記載のハニカム構造体。
- 一つの前記第1角部と前記側壁との間には、一つの前記第1シェル隔壁のみが掛け渡されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記コア隔壁、前記側壁及び前記第1シェル隔壁によって仕切られる複数の外周セルの一端部及び他端部の少なくとも一方は、封口されている、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記外周セルの一端部は、封口されている、請求項5記載のハニカム構造体。
- それぞれの前記外周セルの断面積は、全ての前記外周セルの平均断面積の40%以上となっている、請求項5又は6記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記コア部の構造は、非対称セル構造となっている、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記内部セルは、六角形状の断面形状を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項記載のハニカム構造体。
