Description
本発明は概して、供給原料のガス化のための方法および装置に関する。特に、本発明の様々な実施態様では、一般に直立の配置を呈するガス化反応器を提供している。
ガス化反応器は、一般に固体供給原料をガス状生成物に変換するためにしばしば使用される。例えば、ガス化反応器は、石炭および/または石油コークスなどの炭素質供給原料を、水素などの望ましいガス状生成物にガス化することができる。ガス化反応器は、固体供給原料のガス化に必要な非常に高い圧力および温度に耐えるよう構成する必要がある。残念ながら、ガス化反応器は、複雑な幾何学的配置が利用されることが多く、また過度のメンテナンスを必要とすることがよくある。
本発明の一実施態様において、供給原料をガス化するための二段式ガス化反応器システムが提供されている。一般に、反応器システムは、第一段反応器部分および第二段反応器部分で構成される。一般に、第一段反応器部分は本体、および供給原料を第一の反応ゾーンに放出するよう動作可能な少なくとも2つの入口から構成される。第一段反応器部分には、第一の反応ゾーンを協調的に定義する複数の内面があり、その内面の合計面積のうち少なくとも約50パーセントは直立方向を持つ。第二段反応器部分は、概して第一段反応器部分の上に位置し、第二の反応ゾーンを定義する。
本発明の様々な実施態様についての下記の詳細な説明では、発明を実施しうる具体的な実施態様を図示した添付図面を参照する。実施態様は、当業者が発明を実施できるように、発明の側面を十分に詳しく説明することを意図したものである。その他の実施態様を利用することができ、また本発明の範囲から逸脱することなく変更することができる。よって下記の詳細な説明は、本発明の範囲を制限するものではない。本発明の範囲は、添付した請求項によってのみ定義されるが、かかる請求項に対して権利が与えられる同等物の全範囲におよぶ。
少なくとも75パーセント大きくすることができる。こうした配置により、本体22および入口突出物24が溶接または締付け部品により連結される長さを制限することができ、それによって反応器システム10が抵抗しうる内部圧力が増大する。
psig、約350〜約1,400 psigの範囲のまたは400〜800 psigの圧力でそれぞれ維持されうる。
Claims (11)
- 供給原料をガス化するための二段式(two-stage)のガス化反応器システムにおいて、
第一の反応ゾーンを定義する第一段反応器部分を有し、該第一の反応ゾーンが供給原料のガス化に利用され、
該第一段反応器部分が本体及び少なくとも2つの入口突出物を有し、
該本体と入口突出物は協働して前記第一の反応ゾーンを定義し、前記第一段反応器部分の全体積の50%より少ない部分が前記入口突出物内に定義され、
前記入口突出物のそれぞれが前記本体に接続された近位端および前記本体から外側に間隔をおいた遠位端を持ち、
前記第一段反応器部分は、前記第一の反応ゾーンを協調的に定義する複数の内面を持ち、
前記内面の合計面積の少なくとも50パーセントの部分が、垂直に対して45度未満の傾きを持つ直立方向の内面であり、
前記内面の全面積の10%より少ない部分が、水平に対して45度より大きい角度で上に延びる法線ベクトルを持つ内面であり、もって、前記第一段反応器部分内でスラグ及びその他のガス化副産物の除去を促進し、
前記内面の全面積の10%より少ない部分が、水平に対して45度より大きい角度で下に延びる法線ベクトルを持つ内面であり、もって、前記第一段反応器部分内で耐火物質の取り付け及びメンテナンスを促進し、
前記本体の最大外径が前記入口突出物の最大外径よりも少なくとも25パーセント大きく、もって、反応器システムが耐え得る最大内部圧力を増加し、
前記供給原料を前記第一の反応ゾーンに放出するよう動作可能である入口が前記入口突出物それぞれの前記遠位端に近接して位置され、
前記第一段反応器部分の上方に位置し、第二の反応ゾーンを定義する第二段反応器部分を有することを特徴とする、ガス化反応器システム。 - さらに前記第一段および第二段反応器部分の間に流体連通を提供するスロート部分が構成される、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記内面の合計面積の少なくとも90パーセントの部分が、垂直に対して45度未満の傾きを持つ直立方向の内面である、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記入口突出物が同じ高さに位置する、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記入口突出物のそれぞれが錐台の形状である、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記第一段反応器部分が、前記本体の対向する両側から外側方向に延びた一対の前記入口突出物を有する、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記本体の最大内径が、前記一対の入口突出物のそれぞれの前記遠位端に近接した位置にある前記入口間の水平距離の少なくとも30パーセントである、請求項6に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記第一の反応ゾーンの高さの前記第一の反応ゾーンの最大幅に対する比率が1:1〜5:1の範囲にある、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記反応器システムが少なくとも3つの前記入口突出物を有する、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記反応器システムが、金属容器の内側を少なくとも部分的に裏張りする耐熱材料を有し、前記耐熱材料が前記金属容器の内面の少なくとも一部分を構成する、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
- 前記反応器システムが一体構造のガス化反応器で構成される、請求項1に記載の反応器システム。
