Description
Claims (17)
- 静脈内カテーテルを通して血流をコントロールする装置であって、
内部に中空内部領域を有する静脈内カテーテルアダプターと、
前記中空内部領域内に保持された血液コントロールバルブと、を備え、
前記血液コントロールバルブは、実質的に円筒形の弾性外側シェルと、前記弾性外側シェルから当該弾性外側シェルの中心軸線と直交する平面に沿って内方に延在する内側バルブ部と、を含み、
前記内側バルブ部は、前記弾性外側シェルを半径方向に圧縮した際に開口するように構成されたスリットを含み、
前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターは、前記内側バルブ部を開口するために、前記弾性外側シェルを前記スリットが延在する半径方向に選択的に圧縮するための圧縮機構をさらに含む、装置。 - 前記弾性外側シェルおよび内側バルブ部の少なくとも一つがエラストマー材料を含む、請求項1の装置。
- 前記エラストマー材料は、シリコーンゴムを含む請求項2の装置。
- 前記内側バルブ部は、ニードルを受容するように構成される請求項1の装置。
- 前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターおよび血液コントロールバルブの少なくとも一つは、前記中空内部領域内に前記血液コントロールバルブを保持するための保持機構を含む請求項1の装置。
- 前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターと血液コントロールバルブの少なくとも一つは、前記中空内部領域内の血液コントロールバルブを適切に配向させるための位置決め機構を含む、請求項1の装置。
- 前記血液コントロールバルブは、前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターに挿入されたルアー器具が近位端方向に前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させるように、前記中空内部領域内に配向される、請求項1の装置。
- 前記ルアー器具は、前記弾性外側シェルを半径方向に圧縮するために、前記圧縮機構と実質的に対応する位置に前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させ、それにより、前記圧縮機構を作動させる、請求項7の装置。
- 静脈内カテーテルを通して血流をコントロールする方法であって、
実質的に円筒形の弾性外側シェルを有する血液コントロールバルブを提供し、
前記弾性外側シェルを半径方向に圧縮すると開口するように構成されたスリットを含む、前記弾性外側シェルから当該弾性外側シェルの中心軸線と直交する平面に沿って内方に延在する内側バルブ部を形成し、
内部に前記中空内部領域を有する静脈内カテーテルアダプターを提供し、
前記中空内部領域内に前記血液コントロールバルブを位置決めする、ことを含み、
前記弾性外側シェルを前記スリットの延在する半径方向に選択的に圧縮するために静脈内カテーテルアダプターの前記中空内部領域に前記圧縮機構を一体化すること、をさらに含む
方法。 - 前記圧縮機構と実質的に対応する前記中空内部領域内の位置に前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させること、をさらに含む請求項9の方法。
- 前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させると、前記圧縮機構が作動し、前記弾性外側シェルを半径方向に圧縮する、請求項10の方法。
- 静脈内カテーテルアダプターの遠位端部に挿入されたルアー器具が、前記圧縮機構と実質的に対応する位置に前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させるように、前記中空内部領域内で前記血液コントロールバルブを配向させること、をさらに含む請求項9の方法。
- 前記圧縮機構と実質的に対応する位置に前記血液コントロールバルブを並進移動させるために、ルアー器具を静脈内カテーテルアダプターの遠位端部に挿入すること、をさらに含む請求項9の方法。
- 前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターおよび血液コントロールバルブの少なくとも一つに、前記中空内部領域内に前記血液コントロールバルブを保持するための保持機構を一体化すること、をさらに含む請求項9の方法。
- 前記中空内部領域内で前記血液コントロールバルブを適切に配向させるための位置決め機構を、前記静脈内カテーテルアダプターおよび血液コントロールバルブの少なくとも一つに一体化すること、をさらに含む請求項9の方法。
- 静脈内カテーテルアセンブリを通して流体の流れをコントロールするための静脈内カテーテルアセンブリであって、
静脈内へのアクセスを取得するために血管を穿刺する手段と、
血管と外部の流体ソースとの間の流体連結を調整する手段と、
前記流体連結を調整する手段を通じて流体の流れをコントロールする手段と、を備え、
前記流体をコントロールする手段は、実質的に円筒形の弾性外側シェル手段および前記弾性外側シェル手段から当該弾性外側シェルの中心軸線と直交する平面に沿って内方に延在する内側バルブ手段を含み、
前記内側バルブ手段は、前記弾性外側シェル手段を半径方向に圧縮すると開口するように構成されたスリット手段を含み、
前記流体連結を調整する手段は、前記弾性外側シェル手段をスリット手段の延在する半径方向に選択的に圧縮する手段を含む、静脈内カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記弾性外側シェル手段をスリットの延在する半径方向に選択的に圧縮する手段は、前記弾性外側シェル手段を半径方向に圧縮する手段と実質的に対応する位置に前記流体の流れをコントロールする手段を並進移動させるために、ルアー器具を前記流体連結を調整する手段に挿入すると作動する、請求項16の静脈内カテーテルアセンブリ。
