Description

Claims (4)
- 気象レーダ反射率値を自動的に受信するステップと、
外部空気温度値を自動的に受信するステップと、
前記受信した外部空気温度値に基づいて凍結高度を自動的に決定するステップと、
前記凍結高度よりも上の高度に関する受信した反射率値が雷閾値量よりも大きいとき、1つまたは複数の雷アイコンを自動的に生成するステップと、
1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを自動的に生成するステップであって、
前記決定された凍結高度に所定距離値を自動的に加えるステップと、
前記決定された凍結高度と前記所定距離値との和における高度に関する受信した反射率値が雹閾値量よりも大きいとき、1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを自動的に生成するステップと、
を含むステップと、
表示選択に基づいて気象表示部上に前記1つまたは複数の雷または雹アイコンを自動的に表示するステップと、
前記気象レーダ反射率値をメモリに自動的に記憶するステップと、
を含む、航空機上で実現される方法。 - 前記気象レーダ反射率値を前記メモリに自動的に記憶する前記ステップは、前記気象レーダ反射率値を3次元体積バッファのそれぞれのセルに記憶するステップを含み、1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを自動的に生成する前記ステップは、前記3次元体積バッファの隣り合った所定数のセルが前記雹閾値量よりも大きい反射率値を有するときのみ、1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを自動的に生成するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 受信した気象レーダ反射率値を格納するように構成されたメモリと、
前記メモリと信号通信するプロセッサであって、
前記気象レーダ反射率値を受信し、
外部空気温度値を受信し、
前記受信した外部空気温度値に基づいて凍結高度を決定し、
前記凍結高度よりも上の高度に関する受信した反射率値が雷閾値量よりも大きいとき、1つまたは複数の雷アイコンを生成し、
前記決定された凍結高度に所定距離値を加え、
前記決定された凍結高度と前記所定距離値との和における高度に関する反射率値が雹閾値量よりも大きいとき、1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを生成する
ように構成されたプロセッサと、
前記プロセッサと信号通信する表示装置であって、前記1つまたは複数の雷アイコンを表示し、前記1つまたは複数の雹アイコンを表示するように構成された表示装置と、
を含む気象レーダシステム。 - 前記雹閾値量は45dBZであり、前記所定距離値は1.6kmである、請求項3に記載のシステム。
