Description
金属プラグを回転させること、
プラグを可塑化し、回転するプラグを強制的に穴に通して金床に押し当てることにより被溶接物の穴を充填すること、及び
プラグ周囲の被溶接物に溶接床を形成すること
を含む。
プラグを回転させ、回転するプラグを被溶接物の穴に強制的に通す手段と、
被溶接物の一面に接して配置される金床と
を備えており、金床は、
プラグを強制的に穴に通すときにプラグの先端を受ける穴と軸方向に整列する中央開口部と、
中央開口部に近接して中央開口部を取り囲み、金床と被溶接物の前記面との間の領域を画定する皿穴であって、金床と被溶接物の前記面との間の領域の中にプラグの一部が押出し成形されて、摩擦プラグ溶接部を補強する周囲の溶接床が形成される皿穴と、
皿穴を取り囲んで溶接床の周囲のコイン部を形成するリセスと
を含んでいる。
金属プラグを回転させること、
被溶接物を貫通する穴の一端に、回転するプラグを強制的に挿入すること、
回転するプラグと被溶接物との摩擦係合により生じる熱を使用してプラグを可塑化すること、
被溶接物に接触するように金床を配置すること、
被溶接物にプラグを鍛接して、可塑化されたプラグを金床に押し当てること、
可塑化したプラグの一部を金床のキャビティ中に押出し成形して、被溶接物上にプラグの一端を取り囲む溶接床を形成することにより、溶接部を補強すること、及び
可塑化したプラグを金床のリセス中に押出し成形することにより、溶接の周囲の被溶接物にコイン部を形成すること
を含む。
(態様1)
金属製の被溶接物の穴を充填する方法であって、
穴の中にプラグを摩擦溶接すること、及び
被溶接物内に、プラグをほぼ取り囲む溶接床を形成すること
を含む方法。
(態様2)
摩擦溶接を、
プラグを回転させること、及び
回転するプラグを穴の中に押し込むこと
により実行する、態様1に記載の方法。
(態様3)
溶接床を形成することを、
プラグを可塑化すること、
被溶接物と接するように、穴の周囲に金床を配置すること、及び
可塑化したプラグを、金床内のキャビティの中に押出し成形すること
により実行する、態様1に記載の方法。
(態様4)
押出し成形することを、可塑化したプラグを、放射方向に沿って外側に、キャビティの中へ押出し成形することにより実行する、態様3に記載の方法。
(態様5)
被溶接物に、溶接床を取り囲むコイン部を形成すること
を更に含む、態様3に記載の方法。
(態様6)
コイン部を形成することを、可塑化したプラグの一部を、キャビティを取り囲むリセス中に押出し成形することにより実行する、態様5に記載の方法。
(態様7)
プラグを穴の中に摩擦溶接した後で、被溶接物を越えて延びるプラグの部分を除去すること
を更に含む、態様1に記載の方法。
(態様8)
被溶接物内の穴を摩擦プラグ溶接するための装置であって、
プラグを回転させ、かつ、回転するプラグを強制的に穴に通す手段、及び
穴を覆うように被溶接物に接触させて配置される金床であって、プラグの一部を中に押出し成形してプラグ周囲に溶接床を形成することができるキャビティを含む金床
を含んでいる装置。

キャビティが、
プラグの先端を受けるための、金床内の中央凹部、及び
凹部を取り囲む、金床内の皿穴
を含んでいる、態様8に記載の装置。
(態様10)
皿穴が、被溶接物に対向する壁部を含んでいる、態様9に記載の装置。

Claims (8)
- 金属製の被溶接物の穴を充填する方法であって、
穴の中にプラグを摩擦溶接すること、及び
被溶接物内に、プラグをほぼ取り囲む溶接床を形成すること
を含み、
溶接床を形成することを、
プラグを可塑化すること、
被溶接物と接するように、穴の周囲に金床であって、当該金床は、被溶接物と対向する底面を有した第1キャビティであって、プラグを受取るようにされた第1キャビティを備え、当該金床は第1キャビティを囲む第2キャビティをさらに備え、第2キャビティは、直径において第1キャビティと比して大きく、深さにおいて第1キャビティと比して小さく、第2キャビティは第1キャビティを取り囲む、テーパー付けられた凹部を有し、テーパー付けられた凹部は第1キャビティの深さに対して下に向かって角度付けられている、金床を配置すること、及び
可塑化したプラグを、金床内の第2キャビティの中に押出し成形すること
により実行する、方法。 - 摩擦溶接を、
プラグを回転させること、及び
回転するプラグを穴の中に押し込むこと
により実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 押出し成形することを、可塑化したプラグを、放射方向に沿って外側に、第2キャビティの中へ押出し成形することにより実行する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 被溶接物に、溶接床を取り囲むコイン部を形成すること
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - コイン部を形成することを、可塑化したプラグの一部を、第1キャビティを取り囲むリセス中に押出し成形することにより実行する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- プラグを穴の中に摩擦溶接した後で、被溶接物を越えて延びるプラグの部分を除去すること
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 被溶接物内の穴を摩擦プラグ溶接するための装置であって、
プラグを回転させ、かつ、回転するプラグを強制的に穴に通す手段、及び
穴を覆うように被溶接物に接触させて配置される金床であって、プラグの一部を中に押出し成形してプラグ周囲に溶接床を形成することができるキャビティを含む金床
を含んでおり、
キャビティが、
プラグの先端を受けるための、金床内の中央凹部、及び
凹部を取り囲む、金床内の皿穴
を含んでおり、
皿穴が、被溶接物に対向する壁部を含んでいる、装置。 - キャビティが、皿穴の壁部に隣接して当該壁部を取り囲むリセスを更に含んでいる、請求項7に記載の装置。
