Claims (2)
- 絶縁膜が形成された基板と、前記絶縁膜上に形成された第一表示電極及び第二表示電極と、前記第一表示電極及び前記第二表示電極と対向するように対向電極が形成された対向基板と、前記第一表示電極及び前記第二表示電極と前記対向電極の間に設けられた液晶層と、を備え、
前記基板と前記絶縁膜の間には、前記第一表示電極と前記第二表示電極の間隙に対応するように隙間電極が設けられ、
前記隙間電極には、前記第一表示電極と前記第二表示電極の一方に供給される駆動信号と同一の駆動信号が供給され、
前記第一表示電極と前記第二表示電極は隣接するストライプ状の電極であり、前記対向電極との交点で構成される画素によりマトリクス表示を行うことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記第一表示電極と前記第二表示電極の一方の表示電極と前記隙間電極が、前記絶縁膜に設けられたコンタクトエリアを介して電気的に接続することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
