Description
セルラ通信ネットワークの基地局からの送信のダウンリンク電力を設定する方法であって、前記セルラ通信ネットワークは複数の基地局の群を含み、前記方法は、
前記送信が受信されるべき信号強度の目標値を判定する工程と、
前記群の複数の基地局間でのパス・ロスの測定値に基づいて、パス・ロス値の目標値を判定する工程と、
前記信号強度の前記目標値、および前記パス・ロス値の前記目標値に基づいて前記ダウンリンク電力を算出する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする方法が提供される。

目標AP RSCPはステップ42で算出されたRSCPの目標値である。
あるいはアクセスポイントが、独自のダウンリンクモニタモードで動作しているときに検出した異なるキャリア周波数に関するマクロレイヤ基地局のシステム・インフォメーション・ブロック(SIB)11から、独自のキャリア周波数に関する1以上のマクロレイヤ基地局の一次スクランブルコード(PSC)を抽出するか、
あるいはアクセスポイントが、独自のキャリア周波数または独自のダウンリンクモニタモードで動作しているときに検出した異なるキャリア周波数の何れかに関する別のフェムトセルアクセスポイントのシステム・インフォメーション・ブロック(SIB)11から、独自のキャリア周波数に関する1以上のマクロレイヤ基地局の一次スクランブルコード(PSC)を抽出するか、
あるいはMRTが、第1のフェムトセルアクセスポイントが動作しているキャリア周波数に関する1以上のマクロレイヤ基地局の一次スクランブルコード(PSC)のエントリを含んでいる。
Claims (18)
- 基地局群を含むセルラ通信ネットワークの基地局からの送信のダウンリンク電力を設定する方法であって、
前記送信が受信されるべき信号強度の目標値を決定する工程と、
前記基地局群の全体に渡り、互いに検出できる近隣基地局のペア間でのパス・ロスの測定値に基づいて、パス・ロスの目標値を決定する工程と、
前記信号強度の前記目標値、および前記パス・ロスの前記目標値に基づいて前記ダウンリンク電力を算出する工程と、
を備えており、
前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を決定する工程は、
前記基地局群の全体に渡り、互いに検出できる近隣基地局のペア間でのパス・ロスの複数の測定値を取得する工程と、
前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を、前記複数の測定値の所定の百分順位での値と等しくなるように設定する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を設定する工程は、前記複数の測定値の所定パーセンテージよりも大きくなるように前記目標値を設定する工程を備え、前記所定パーセンテージは75%よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基地局は、前記基地局が前記基地局群の他の基地局を検出しないと、前記パス・ロスの前記目標値に所定の最小値を設定することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記送信が受信されるべき前記信号強度の前記目標値を決定する工程は、
前記基地局群外の少なくとも1つの基地局からの送信が前記基地局群内の少なくとも1つの基地局によって受信される信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定する工程を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が、前記基地局群外の1以上の基地局から任意の信号を検出することが可能な場合に、
前記基地局群外の基地局または各基地局からの送信が、前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局によって受信される平均信号強度を決定する工程と、
前記決定された平均信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が前記基地局群外の2以上の基地局から任意の信号を検出することが可能な場合に、
前記基地局群外の各基地局について、前記基地局群外の基地局からの送信が前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局によって受信される平均信号強度を決定する工程と、
送信が前記基地局群内の基地局によって最大平均信号強度で受信される前記基地局群外の基地局を特定する工程と、
前記特定された基地局からの送信が前記基地局群内の基地局によって受信される信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定する工程と、
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が、前記基地局群外の基地局からの信号を検出しない場合、前記信号強度の前記目標値に所定の最小値を設定する工程をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4乃至6の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記基地局はフェムトセルアクセスポイントを含み、前記基地局群はローカル・エリア・ネットワークを通じて接続されたフェムトセルアクセスポイント群を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記基地局はフェムトセルアクセスポイントを含み、前記基地局群外の基地局または各基地局はマクロレイヤ基地局を含むことを特徴とする請求項4乃至7の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 基地局群を含むセルラ通信ネットワークで使用され、送信のダウンリンク電力を設定するように構成された基地局であって、
前記送信が受信されるべき信号強度の目標値を決定し、
前記基地局群の全体に渡り、互いに検出できる近隣基地局のペア間でのパス・ロスの測定値に基づいて、パス・ロスの目標値を決定し、
前記信号強度の前記目標値、および前記パス・ロスの前記目標値に基づいて前記ダウンリンク電力を算出し、
前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を決定することは、
前記基地局群の全体に渡り、互いに検出できる近隣基地局のペア間でのパス・ロスの複数の測定値を取得し、前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を、前記複数の測定値の所定の百分順位での値と等しくなるように設定することを含む、
ことを特徴とする基地局。 - 前記パス・ロスの前記目標値を設定することは、前記複数の測定値の所定パーセンテージよりも大きくなるように前記目標値を設定することを含み、前記所定パーセンテージは75%よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の基地局。
- 前記基地局は、前記基地局が前記基地局群の他の基地局を検出しないと、前記パス・ロスの前記目標値に所定の最小値を設定することを特徴とする請求項10または11に記載の基地局。
- 前記送信が受信されるべき前記信号強度の前記目標値を決定することは、
前記基地局群外の少なくとも1つの基地局からの送信が前記基地局群内の少なくとも1つの基地局によって受信される信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定することを含むことを特徴とする請求項10乃至12の何れか1項に記載の基地局。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が、前記基地局群外の1以上の基地局から任意の信号を検出することが可能な場合に、前記基地局は、
前記基地局群外の基地局または各基地局からの送信が、前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局によって受信される平均信号強度を決定し、
前記決定された平均信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定する、
ことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の基地局。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が前記基地局群外の2以上の基地局から任意の信号を検出することが可能な場合に、前記基地局は、
前記基地局群外の各基地局について、前記基地局群外の基地局からの送信が前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局によって受信される平均信号強度を決定し、
送信が前記基地局群内の基地局によって最大平均信号強度で受信される前記基地局群外の基地局を特定し、
前記特定された基地局からの送信が前記基地局群内の基地局によって受信される信号強度に基づいて前記目標値を設定する、
ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の基地局。 - 前記基地局または当該基地局の近隣基地局が、前記基地局群外の基地局からの信号を検出しない場合、前記基地局は、前記信号強度の前記目標値に所定の最小値を設定することを特徴とする請求項13乃至15の何れか1項に記載の基地局。
- 前記基地局はフェムトセルアクセスポイントを含み、前記基地局群はローカル・エリア・ネットワークを通じて接続されたフェムトセルアクセスポイント群を含むことを特徴とする請求項10乃至16の何れか1項に記載の基地局。
- 前記基地局はフェムトセルアクセスポイントを含み、前記基地局群外の基地局または各基地局はマクロレイヤ基地局を含むことを特徴とする請求項13乃至16の何れか1項に記載の基地局。
