Description
本願は、2008年10月10日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/195,898号明細書に対する優先権の利益を主張するものであり、この特許出願は、参照によりその全体を本明細書に援用するものとする。
Claims (13)
- 濾過システムであって、
i)前記濾過システム内の流体流れを調整および監視する手段を含み、細長い収容部を画定するコントローラと、
ii)前記コントローラによって画定された前記細長い収容部内に少なくとも部分的に配置され、ロック要素を含むソケット・アセンブリと、
iii)前記ソケット・アセンブリに挿入され、前記ロック要素によって前記コントローラと流体連通した状態に固定されるフィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリと、を含み、前記フィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリが、その外側面から延びる突起を有し、かつ、前記ロック要素が、その外周から半径方向外側に伸びるレバー・アームの付いたカム・リングを有するカム機構を有し、前記カム・リングを前記突起に係合するように前記フィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリに対して回転させて前記フィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリを前記コントローラと流体連通した状態に固定し、さらに、
前記フィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリが、
iv)軸方向反対側にある近位端および遠位端を有し、内部空洞と、中心軸と、前記近位端から前記遠位端まで延びる第1、第2、および第3の流路とを画定する細長いハウジングと、
v)前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に配置されて、第1の導入ポートから第1の排出ポートまで前記第1の流路を移動する流体を調整する第1のフィルタ要素と、
vi)前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に配置されて、第2の導入ポートから第2の排出ポートまで前記第2の流路を移動する流体を調整する第2のフィルタ要素と、
vii)前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に配置されて、第3の導入ポートから第3の排出ポートまで前記第3の流路を移動する流体を調整する第3のフィルタ要素と、を有するフィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリであって、前記第1の流路が、前記第2および第3の流路から隔離され、前記第2の流路が、前記第3の流路から隔離される、ことを特徴とする濾過システム。 - 前記フィルタ・カートリッジ・アセンブリの前記ハウジングの前記近位端が、コネクタ要素を含む、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記コネクタ要素が、前記第1の導入ポートと、前記第2および第3の排出ポートとを含む、請求項2に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記ハウジングが、同軸に配置された一対の周囲壁を含む、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記第2および第3の流路のそれぞれの一部が、前記ハウジングの前記周囲壁間を軸方向に延在する、請求項4に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記第1のフィルタ要素が、半径方向にひだのあるフィルタであり、流体が、前記第1のフィルタ要素を半径方向内側の方向に横断することによって、前記第1の流路内で調整される、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記第2のフィルタ要素が、半径方向にひだのあるフィルタであり、流体が、前記第2のフィルタ要素を半径方向外側の方向に横断することによって、前記第2の流路内で調整される、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記第3のフィルタ要素が、ディスク状フィルタであり、流体が、前記第3のフィルタ要素を軸方向に横断することによって、前記第3の流路内で調整される、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に配置され、前記第1のフィルタ要素用の第1のチャンバを形成する円筒状の内側ハウジング要素を含む、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に配置され、前記第2のフィルタ要素用の第2のチャンバを形成する第2の内側ハウジング要素をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記ハウジングの前記内部空洞内に2つの長手方向チャネルを画定する2つの長手方向リブを含み、前記第2の流路が前記チャネルの一方を通り、前記第3の流路が他方の前記チャネルを通る、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記第1の排出ポート、前記第2の導入ポートおよび第3の導入ポートが、前記ハウジングの前記遠位端に配置される、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
- 前記ハウジングが、3つのフィルタ・チャンバおよび3つの流路を画定する、請求項1に記載の濾過システム。
