Description
1つのユニモルフを、約10mmの曲率半径を有する半円筒状の表面を有する型を用いて、基材が電歪材料層よりも凸側になるように湾曲させた。そのまま80℃の空気雰囲気中に5分間維持し、その後、自然冷却して、型から外して、第1の電歪素子を得た。
もう1つのユニモルフを、電歪材料層が基材よりも凸側になるように湾曲させたこと以外は、上記と同様に成形して、第2の電歪素子を得た。
上記のようにして得られた第1の電歪素子と第2の電歪素子とを、湾曲方向(凸方向)を揃えて並置し、それらの一端の間に0.5gの質量体を挟んで、熱硬化型の接着剤を用いてこれら電歪素子を直列に接合した。また、これら電歪素子の他端を熱硬化型の接着剤を用いて支持部材にそれぞれ接合して固定した。
以上により、本実施例の加振器を作製した。
この加振器を使用して、第1の電歪素子の電極間および第2の電歪素子の電極間にそれぞれ10〜20Hz、400V0−Pの交流成分を持つ電圧を印加したところ、質量体は10Hz程度で共振した。この共振周波数にて、質量体は、まず横方向に共振し、その後、縦方向に振動し始め、最終的に2mm程度の縦方向振動が観測された。

Claims (3)
- 電歪材料層と、電歪材料層の両面に各々配置された2つの電極と、いずれか一方の電極を介して電歪材料層の片面に接合された基材とにより各々構成された第1および第2の電歪素子、ならびに機械的振動を外部に加えるための質量体を含む加振器であって、第1の電歪素子は基材の側を凸側にして少なくとも部分的に湾曲し、第2の電歪素子は電歪材料層の側を凸側にして少なくとも部分的に湾曲し、第1および第2の電歪素子は各一端にて質量体を介して直列接続され、第1および第2の電歪素子の各他端は固定端とされる、加振器。
- 第1および第2の電歪素子は、同じ方向に湾曲している、請求項1に記載の加振器。
- 第1および第2の電歪素子の湾曲した部分が、いずれも円弧状の断面形状を有する、請求項1または2に記載の加振器。
