Claims (22)
- 畳まれた状態と拡張された状態との間で転換可能な生体吸収性ステントであって、
実質的にステントの円周を画定する第1曲率半径と、第1螺旋ピッチと、ステントの長手方向の主要軸線とを画定するように構成された少なくとも1つの1次繊維と、
2次コイルをそれぞれが画定するように第2曲率半径をそれぞれが有する、1次繊維内に配設された複数のセグメントとを備える二重コイルを備え、
ステントが拡張状態にあるとき、複数のセグメントがステントの円周のまわりに少なくとも1つの側方軸線を形成するように、複数のセグメントのそれぞれが他のセグメントと実質的に位置合わせされ、
ステントは、拡張された状態にあるとき展開された長さを有し、
前記ステントがさらに、前記ステントの長さの少なくとも一部に沿って延在する複数の領域的な支持繊維を備え、
領域的な支持繊維における隙間が、ステントの見かけの直径が大きくなり得る場所に存在する、ステント。 - 少なくとも1つの1次繊維が第2の螺旋ピッチを画定する領域を備える、請求項1に記載のステント。

- 治療を必要とする身体通路を支持する方法であって、
畳まれた状態と拡張された状態との間で転換可能な生体吸収性ステントを提供するステップを備え、ステントは、
実質的にステントの円周を画定する第1曲率半径と、第1螺旋ピッチと、ステントの長手方向の主要軸線とを画定するように構成された少なくとも1つの1次繊維と、
2次コイルをそれぞれが画定するように第2曲率半径をそれぞれが有する、1次繊維内に配設された複数のセグメントとを備える二重コイルを備え、
ステントが拡張状態にあるとき、複数のセグメントがステントの円周のまわりに少なくとも1つの側方軸線を形成するように、複数のセグメントのそれぞれが他のセグメントと実質的に位置合わせされ、
ステントは、拡張された状態にあるとき展開された長さを有し、
前記ステントがさらに、前記ステントの長さの一部に沿って延在する複数の領域的な支持繊維を含み、
領域的な支持繊維における隙間が、ステントの見かけの直径が大きくなり得る場所に存在し、方法がさらに
畳まれた状態のステントを通路の内腔の一部位内の位置に位置決めするステップと、
ステントを拡張された状態に拡張し、それによって通路を支持するステップと、を備える方法。 - 少なくとも1つの1次繊維が第2螺旋ピッチを画定する領域を備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
- ステントが少なくとも1つの長手方向の支持繊維をさらに備え、少なくとも1つの長手方向の支持繊維はステントの展開された長さ分だけ延在する、請求項11の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの長手方向の支持繊維はステントの展開された長さの半分未満分だけ延在する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- ステントが少なくとも1つの放射線不透過性構造体をさらに備え、少なくとも1つの放射線不透過性構造体は、長手方向の支持繊維と領域的な支持繊維と1次繊維とのうちの1つを実質的に取り囲むように構成される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの1次繊維と少なくとも1つの領域的な支持繊維と少なくとも1つの長手方向の支持繊維とのうちの少なくとも1つが、製薬学上有効な合成物を放出可能な形態で備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 製薬学上有効な合成物が、前記繊維の内腔および層のうちの少なくとも一方内に配設される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 複数のセグメントのそれぞれの曲率半径がステントの円周よりも小さい、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの1次繊維内の一領域が第1曲率半径よりも実質的に大きな第2曲率半径を有するステントを提供するステップをさらに備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
- ステントが、ポリジオクサノン、ポリグリコライド、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリラクチド、ポリ−L−ラクチド、ポリ−D,L−ラクチド、ポリ(L−ラクチド−コ−グリコライド)、ポリ(D,L−ラクチド−コ−グリコライド)、ポリ(Lラクチド−コ−D,L−ラクチド)、ポリ(L−ラクチド−コ−トリメチレンカーボネート)、吉草酸ポリヒドロキシ、またはエチルビニルアセテートから成る群から選択される生体吸収性ポリマー材料を備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 通路が動脈瘤のネック部を備える、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 製薬学上有効な合成物が、炎症の軽減と組織の再構築の促進と止血の促進とのうちの少なくとも1つを促進することに有効である、請求項16に記載の方法。
