Description
前記光触媒分散体を基体の表面に付着させる工程と、
前記付着させた前記光触媒分散体を乾燥させることで前記基体の表面に光触媒を形成する工程と、
を有した光触媒体の製造方法であって、
イオン添加剤として、無機アルカリ、および有機アルカリの少なくともいずれかを用い、
前記光触媒分散体を生成する工程において、前記光触媒分散体の水素イオン指数がpH7.1以下となるように前記イオン添加剤により調整し、
前記基体の表面に光触媒を形成する工程において、110℃以上500℃以下に加熱すること、または大気圧よりも減圧された雰囲気におくこと、の内の少なくとも1つを満たす条件により、前記付着させた前記光触媒分散体を乾燥させ、
前記形成された光触媒体が、以下の(I)ないし(IV)のうちの少なくとも1つの条件を満たすように、前記水素イオン指数、前記イオン添加剤の種類、および前記乾燥の条件を制御すること、を特徴とする光触媒体の製造方法が提供される。
(I)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が3450cm−1における吸収強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が2.5以下となる。
(II)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が1500cm−1以上1700cm−1以下の範囲における吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が0.7以下となる。
(III)前記光触媒体の表面を近赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が5000cm−1以上5400cm−1以下の範囲における吸収ピークを有していない、または、吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が5250cm−1における吸収強度に対する比が1.7以下となる。
本発明の実施形態に係る光触媒体は、基体の表面に形成された酸化タングステン微粒子および酸化タングステン複合材微粒子から選ばれる少なくとも1種の微粒子を含む光触媒体であって、
前記光触媒体は、以下の(1)ないし(3)のうちの少なくとも1つの条件を満たすことを特徴とするものである。
(1)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が3450cm−1における吸収強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が2.5以下となる。
これを、「水の吸収強度比(i)」という。
(2)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が1500cm−1以上1700cm−1以下の範囲における吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が0.7以下となる。
これを、「水の吸収強度比(ii)」という。
(3)前記光触媒体の表面を近赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が5000cm−1以上5400cm−1以下の範囲における吸収ピークを有していない、または、吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が5250cm−1における吸収強度に対する比が1.7以下となる。
これを、「水の吸収強度比(iii)」という。
酸化タングステン系微粒子からなる光触媒の表面に水が吸着していると光触媒性能が低下する。本実施形態によれば、水の吸着を示す吸収強度と酸化タングステンの吸収強度との比を小さく制御することにより、高い光触媒性能を発揮することが出来る。具体的には、水の吸収強度比(i)が2.5以下、あるいは、水の吸収強度比(ii)が0.7以下、あるいは、水の吸収強度比(iii)が1.7以下である。
また、酸化タングステン複合材は、Ti、Mn、Fe、Pd、Pt、Cu、Ag、Al、Ceから選ばれる少なくとも1種の金属元素を0.01〜2質量%以下の範囲で含んだものをいう。これらの存在形態は、金属元素の単体、金属元素を含む化合物、酸化タングステンとの複合化合物の形態としても存在しても良い。複合方法は、混合法、含浸法、担持法などを適用することが可能であり、限定されるものではない。
前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が3690cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が0.01以上であることを特徴とするものである。このときの強度比を、「水酸基の吸収強度比」とする。
本実施の形態に係る光触媒体の製造方法は、酸化タングステン微粒子および酸化タングステン複合材微粒子を含む光触媒材料と、溶媒と、を含む光触媒分散体を生成する工程と、
前記光触媒分散体を基体の表面に付着させる工程と、
前記付着させた前記光触媒分散体を乾燥させることで前記基体の表面に光触媒を形成する工程と、を有している。
溶媒としては、水、アルコールなどの有機溶剤、水と有機溶剤との混合液などを例示することができる。
例えば、光触媒材料が酸化タングステン(WO3)の場合には、光触媒分散体の水素イオン濃度指数をpH7.1以下とすれば良い。光触媒分散体の水素イオン濃度指数をpH5.5以下とすることがより好ましい。
また、光触媒分散体の粘度を適宜変更することで付着作業の作業性を向上させることができる。例えば、風などの外乱の影響を受けやすい場所や垂直な面などに対しては粘度の高い光触媒分散体とすることが好ましい。そのようにすれば、液だれなどを抑制することができるので作業性を向上させることができる。一方、粘度の低い光触媒分散体を用いるものとすれば、光触媒の厚みの均一性を向上させることができる。
さらに、高温かつ大気圧より減圧された雰囲気中において、基体の表面に付着させた光触媒分散体を乾燥させるようにすることもできる。
すなわち、110℃以上500℃以下に加熱すること、または大気圧よりも減圧された雰囲気におくことのうちの少なくともいずれかにより、付着させた光触媒分散体を乾燥させるようにすることができる。加熱温度が高すぎると光触媒粒子が粒成長して光触媒活性が低下する場合もある。400℃以下が好ましく、また、加熱時間と併せて制御することが可能である。
(実施例1)
平均一次粒子径(D50)が25〜35nmの酸化タングステン微粒子を水に分散させた種々の分散体を用い、水素イオン濃度指数を調整し、ガラス基板の表面に付着させ、これを150℃に加熱することで基体表面に光触媒体を形成し、試料を作製した。イオン添加剤として水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)を用いた。
(比較例1)
実施例1と同様に酸化タングステン微粒子の分散体を用い、水素イオン濃度指数を調整し、光触媒体を形成し、試料を作製した。イオン添加剤として水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)を用いた。
(実施例2)
実施例1と同様に酸化タングステン微粒子の分散体を用い、水素イオン濃度指数を調整し、光触媒体を形成し、試料を作製した。イオン添加剤としてアンモニア(NH3)を用いた。
(比較例2)
実施例1と同様に酸化タングステン微粒子の分散体を用い、水素イオン濃度指数を調整し、光触媒体を形成し、試料を作製した。イオン添加剤としてアンモニア(NH3)を用いた。
(実施例3)
実施例1と同様の方法で光触媒体の試料を作製した。ガラス基板の表面に光触媒分散体を付着させ、加熱する温度において、150℃、および150℃に加熱後さらに400℃に加熱したもの2条件とした。
Claims (4)
- 酸化タングステン微粒子および酸化タングステン複合材微粒子から選ばれる少なくとも1種の微粒子と、溶媒と、を含む光触媒分散体を生成する工程と、
前記光触媒分散体を基体の表面に付着させる工程と、
前記付着させた前記光触媒分散体を乾燥させることで前記基体の表面に光触媒を形成する工程と、
を有した光触媒体の製造方法であって、
イオン添加剤として、無機アルカリ、および有機アルカリの少なくともいずれかを用い、
前記光触媒分散体を生成する工程において、前記光触媒分散体の水素イオン指数がpH7.1以下となるように前記イオン添加剤により調整し、
前記基体の表面に光触媒を形成する工程において、110℃以上500℃以下に加熱すること、または大気圧よりも減圧された雰囲気におくこと、の内の少なくとも1つを満たす条件により、前記付着させた前記光触媒分散体を乾燥させ、
前記形成された光触媒体が、以下の(I)ないし(IV)のうちの少なくとも1つの条件を満たすように、前記水素イオン指数、前記イオン添加剤の種類、および前記乾燥の条件を制御すること、を特徴とする光触媒体の製造方法。
(I)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が3450cm−1における吸収強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が2.5以下となる。
(II)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が1500cm−1以上1700cm−1以下の範囲における吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が0.7以下となる。
(III)前記光触媒体の表面を近赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が5000cm−1以上5400cm−1以下の範囲における吸収ピークを有していない、または、吸収の最大ピーク強度の、波数が5250cm−1における吸収強度に対する比が1.7以下となる。
(IV)前記光触媒体の表面を赤外分光法により分析した場合に、波数が3690cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度の、波数が1037cm−1近傍における吸収のピーク強度に対する比が0.01以上となる。 - 前記光触媒分散体を生成する工程において、
前記微粒子の濃度が0.1質量%以上20質量%以下とされることを特徴とする請求項1記載の光触媒体の製造方法。 - 前記無機アルカリは、水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)、アンモニア(NH3)、水酸化アンモニウム(NH4OH)、水酸化カリウム(KOH)、炭酸ナトリウム(Na2CO3)からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光触媒体の製造方法。
- 前記有機アルカリは、水酸化テトラメチルアンモニウム(TMAH)であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光触媒体の製造方法。
