Description
図1は、水中波長をやや越える直径と素子回転軸対称性とを有する圧電素子5を、球殻状の超音波放射面をもつハウジング4に配列させた構造を有する、本発明の実施の形態のアレイ型超音波送波器である。それぞれの圧電素子5の超音波放射面側電極3は、導電性ハウジング4に電気的に接続されている。また、それぞれの圧電素子5の背面側電極2からは、それぞれ電気的に独立した導線6が引き出されている。これらの導線と導電性ハウジングとの間に与えた電圧が、それぞれの圧電素子に印加される構造となっている。

Claims (2)
- 辺縁部で支持される圧電素子を有し、高強度の超音波を送波するためのアレイ型超音波送波器において、
前記圧電素子は、水中における超音波波長の1ないし2倍の直径をもち、凸面または凹面の超音波放射面をもつ球殻状であり、前記辺縁部の質量を相対的に増やすよう、前記球殻の内側からの見込み角が60ないし180度であることを、
特徴とするアレイ型超音波送波器。 - 前記圧電素子は、水中における超音波波長の20分の1以上6分の1以下の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のアレイ型超音波送波器。
