冷却ロール33の温度は、Tダイ44から押し出される熱可塑性樹脂3の膜厚、押出し量等から決定することができ、通常15〜25℃程度が好ましい。上述のTダイ44から紙基材14A上に薄膜状に押し出されたホログラム形成用溶融樹脂12Aは、冷却ロール33およびニップロール32によって押圧・冷却され紙基材14Aとラミネートされ、同時にホログラム形成用溶融樹脂12Aの表面にホログラムシート16によってホログラムが形成される。
