Description
Claims (8)
- 微孔質膜であって、
少なくとも3つの膜材料の領域を含み、
前記少なくとも3つの膜材料の領域は、
0.02〜1.0μmの平均細孔径の多孔質膜の第1領域と、
前記多孔質膜の第1領域に隣接しかつ前記多孔質膜の第1領域よりも低密度である多孔質膜の第2領域と、
前記多孔質膜の第2領域に隣接しかつ前記多孔質膜の第2領域よりも高密度である0.02〜1.0μmの平均細孔径の多孔質膜の第3領域と、
を含み、
前記第1領域と前記第3領域とが70〜97%の平均空隙率であり、
各領域の厚さが0.0025〜0.0102cm(0.001〜0.004インチ)であり、
前記微孔質膜が0.0025〜0.0254cm(0.001〜0.01インチ)の厚さであり、
各領域は、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリ炭化フッ素、およびそれの組み合わせからなるグループから選択された高分子材料を含む、
ことを特徴とする微孔質膜。 - 前記微孔質膜は、微小繊維によって相互に連結されている高分子フィルムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質膜。
- 前記第2領域が80〜97%の平均空隙率であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質膜。
- 各領域は、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質膜。
- 前記微孔質膜は、更に親水性処理を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の微孔質膜。
- 前記微孔質膜は、加圧下で前記微孔質膜に熱を加えることによって熱安定化されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の微孔質膜。
- 熱い塩水の供給部と、
前記熱い塩水が急激に水蒸気となる微孔質膜の第1領域と、
前記微孔質膜の第1領域よりも低密度でありかつ前記微孔質膜の第1領域からの前記水蒸気が膨張する微孔質膜の支持体の第2領域と、
前記微孔質膜の支持体の第2領域よりも高密度である微孔質膜の第3領域と、
前記微孔質膜の第3領域からの水蒸気を純水として集める凝縮器とを有し、
前記微孔質膜の支持体の第2領域からの前記膨張した水蒸気が前記微孔質膜の第3領域を通って流れ、前記微孔質膜の第3領域内で流れるための抵抗が前記微孔質膜の支持体の第2領域内に背圧を引き起こし、前記背圧が前記微孔質膜の第1領域から前記微孔質膜の支持体の第2領域内を通過する塩水による損傷を防ぎ、
前記第1領域、前記第2領域、及び前記第3領域のそれぞれは、発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレンを含むことを特徴とする淡水化のためのシステム。 - 各微孔質膜の領域は、複数の微小繊維間に複数の細孔を形成するように前記微小繊維中の結合点によって相互に連結されている前記複数の微少繊維を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の淡水化のためのシステム。
