Claims (19)
- (a)互いに直列および/または並列に接続される複数の電池セルまたはユニットモジュールを、これらが横方向に積み重ねられた状態で有する電池セルスタックであって、前記電池セルの電極端子を外部入出力端子と接続するためのバスバーがその前方に設けられた電池セルスタックと、
(b)前記電池セルまたは前記ユニットモジュールの電圧を検知するために、前記電池セルスタックの前方および後方に配置されている前記電池セルの電極端子接続部に電気的に接続される接続端子がその端部に設けられた電圧検知部材と、
(c)前記電池セルスタックの片側の端部ならびに前記電池セルスタックの頂部および底部の一部を覆う上部ケースであって、前記電圧検知部材が配置される配置部が設けられた上部ケースと、
(d)前記電池セルスタックの反対側の端部ならびに前記電池セルスタックの頂部および底部の一部を覆う状態で前記上部ケースと結合する下部ケースであって、外部入出力端子がその前方に設けられた下部ケースとを備え、
前記電圧検知部材が、前記電池セルスタックの前方に配置された前記電極端子接続部に接続される前方検知部材と、前記電池セルスタックの後方に配置された前記電極端子接続部に接続される後方検知部材とを備え、
前記前方検知部材および前記後方検知部材が、中空構造を有するコネクター形にそれぞれが形成された本体と、それぞれの本体に嵌合された状態で前記電池セルの前記電極端子の直列接続屈曲領域(電極端子接続部)に接続される接続端子とをそれぞれ備える
ことを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 前記各電池セルが、その上端部および下端部に形成された電極端子を有する板状電池セルである請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記各電極端子接続部のために、前記接続端子が前記本体に挿入され得る分割型構造を有するよう前記各本体の下部が形成される請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記前方検知部材の前記本体の前記下部は3つの部分に分割され、前記後方検知部材の前記本体の前記下部は4つの部分に分割される請求項3に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電極端子接続部の対応する1つに前記各接続端子が上から挿入されるレセプタクル型構造を有するように、前記各接続端子が形成される請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記上部ケースの前方および後方において上向きに開口するように前記配置部が形成される請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池モジュールの温度を測定するために、前記電池セル間または前記ユニットモジュール間に配置される電池モジュール温度センサーを更に備える請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池モジュール温度センサーがサーミスタである請求項7に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池モジュール温度センサーの上端部が、前記上部ケースの貫通孔を通って上向きにまたは前記下部ケースの貫通孔を通って下向きに突出する請求項7に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記下部ケースはその前方に、前記電池セルスタックの最も外側の電極端子に接続された前記バスバーが挿入される一組のスリットが設けられている請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記各バスバーが、前記電池モジュールの最も外側の電極端子の対応する1つに電気的に接続された電極端子接続部と、前記下部ケースの前記外部入出力端子の対応する1つに接続される入出力端子接続部とを備え、前記入出力端子接続部が前記電極端子接続部から直角に前記電池モジュールの内側に向かって曲げられている請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記入出力端子接続部はその下部に、内側に凹んだ領域が設けられ、前記各外部入出力端子が前記内側に凹んだ領域に嵌合し、これによって前記各外部入出力端子と前記バスバーの対応する1つとの間の電気的接続が達成される請求項11に記載の電池モジュール。
- 上向きに開口する前記電圧検知部材が、外部から隔離されるように絶縁カバーによって被覆される請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池セルスタックが、複数のユニットモジュールを備え、そのユニットモジュールそれぞれが板状電池セルを備え、その板状電池セルそれぞれがその上端部および下端部において形成された電極端子を有し、
前記各ユニットモジュールが、電極端子が直列および/または並列で互いに接続している2つ以上の電池セルと、前記電池セルの前記電極端子を除いた前記電池セルスタックの外側全体を被覆するよう互いに結合した一組のセルカバーとを備える請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。 - 請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の電池モジュールをユニットモジュールとして使用して製造される電池パック。
- 前記電池パックが、横方向に積み重ねられた電池モジュールを備え、前記各電池モジュールが電圧検知部材および電池モジュール温度センサーを備える請求項15に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電圧検知部材および前記電池モジュール温度センサーは、ワイヤーリングハーネスを介して電池管理システム(BMS)に接続される請求項16に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池パックは、冷却剤導入部における空気の温度を測定するための空気温度センサーを更に備える請求項16に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池パックが、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、またはプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車用の電源として使用される請求項18に記載の電池パック。
