Claims (4)
- 複数の光感知部で感知された光信号に基づき外部輝度信号を生成する外部輝度検出部と、前記外部輝度信号を用いて表示パネルで表示される画像の輝度を調節する輝度制御部と、を含み、
前記外部輝度検出部は、
前記光信号に応じて電圧レベルまたは電流レベルが変化する光感知ノードに接続され、
前記光感知ノードの電圧レベルのセンシング結果に対応するデジタル信号を出力する第1リード回路と、前記光感知ノードの電流レベルのセンシング結果に対応するデジタル信号を出力する第2リード回路と、を備えるリード回路と、
前記リード回路から提供される、前記光感知ノードの電圧レベルのセンシング結果に対応するデジタル信号または前記光感知ノードの電流レベルのセンシング結果に対応するデジタル信号に対応させて、前記外部輝度信号を生成する外部輝度信号生成部と、を含み、
前記第1リード回路は、
前記光感知ノードに第1スイッチを介して接続されるセンシングノードに接続されて前記センシングノードの電圧レベルをセンシングして前記センシングノードの電圧レベルと基準電圧レベルとを比較した比較結果を出力する電圧センシング部と、前記電圧センシング部の前記比較結果とクロック信号とを用いて前記デジタル信号を生成するカウンタと、を含み、
前記第2リード回路は、
前記光感知ノードと前記光感知ノードに第2スイッチを介して接続される前記センシングノードとの間に、前記光感知ノードの電流レベルに対応させて前記センシングノードの電圧レベルを変化させる電流−電圧変換部を備え、前記電圧センシング部と前記カウンタとを前記第1リード回路と共有することを特徴とする表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記輝度制御部は、原輝度信号と前記外部輝度信号を用いて輝度調節信号を提供し、
前記輝度調節信号に応じて前記表示パネルのバックライトの輝度を調節するバックライト駆動部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記複数の光感知部は、外部光を感知する第1フォトダイオードと、基準光を感知する第2フォトダイオードとを含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。
- 前記第2フォトダイオードは、外部光遮蔽部を備え、前記外部光が前記外部光遮蔽部によって遮蔽されて提供される前記基準光を感知することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。
