Description
この出願は、特許発行された特許出願である2011年4月27日出願の米国特許出願第13/095417号の継続出願であり、その優先権を主張する。係属中の米国出願13/095417は、その教示のすべてについてその全体が引用によりここに援用される。
この開示は一般的に、ルテニウムナノ粒子活性炭ナノ酸化亜鉛複合触媒を合成すること、および当該新規な複合触媒を用いてメチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)またはイソプロピルアルコール(IPA)の生産を増加させることに関する。
自己縮合プロセスによる、メチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)、ジイソブチルケトン(DIBK)、ホロン(PH)、およびα−イソホロン(IPH)などの高価値ファインケミカルへの低価格アセトン(ジメチルケトン、DMK)の変換は、業界が現在直面している課題である。
発明は、組成物、ルテニウムナノ粒子活性炭ナノ酸化亜鉛(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒を合成する方法を開示する。本発明は、1段階の気相DMK自己縮合プロセスを介してMIBKおよび他の副生成物を生産するプロセスも開示する。
別の実施形態では、(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒を用いたDMKのMIBKへの高度に選択的な変換の気相プロセスの最適化を行なった。別の実施形態では、(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒を用いたDMKのさまざまな副生成物への高度に選択的な変換の気相プロセスの最適化を行なった。
新規なルテニウム活性炭ナノZnO(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒を合成し、新規な複合触媒を用いてMIBKおよび他の副生成物の生産を増加する方法、組成物、ならびにプロセスのためのいくつかの実施形態を開示する。本実施形態は、具体的な例示的な実施形態を参照して説明したが、さまざまな実施形態のより広い精神および範囲から逸脱することなくこれらの実施形態に対してさまざまな修正および変更をなしてもよいことが明らかになるであろう。
材料− アセトン(Winlab HPLCグレード、+99.8%)、水素ガス(99.999%)、ピルビン酸ナトリウム(Sigma-Aldrich、≧99%)、ヒドロキシルアミン塩酸塩(Carlo Erba、99%)、炭酸水素ナトリウム(Fluka、≧99.5%)、硫酸亜鉛7水和物(BDH、99.5%)、および5%ルテニウム/活性炭複合触媒上ルテニウム5%(n−Ru/AC、Winlab)は市販されており、それ以上精製せずに用いた。
ナノ−ZnO(n−ZnO)は、ZnSO4・7H2Oの水溶液にピルビン酸ナトリウムオキシム1水和物[Na(PAO)・H2O]の水溶液を添加することによって合成した。反応物の混合の結果、亜鉛(II)2−オキシイミノプロピオネート2水和物(Zn(PAO)2(H2O)2)の白色の析出物が生じた。析出物を濾去し、次に一晩真空下で乾燥した。マッフル炉中で662KでZn(PAO)2(H2O)2を一晩加熱し、n−ZnOを得た。種々の重量比(1n−Ru/AC:0n−ZnO,1n−Ru/AC:1n−ZnO,1n−Ru/AC:2n−ZnO,3n−Ru/AC:2n−ZnO,および0n−Ru/AC:1n−ZnO)でこの酸化物をn−Ru/ACと混合し、粉末化して、(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒を得た。調製した複合触媒はそれぞれ、1Ru:0Zn,1Ru:1Zn,1Ru:2Zn,3Ru:2Zn,および0Ru:1Znとした。複合触媒は、触媒テストの前に、in situで一晩50−60ml/分のH2の流れで673Kで活性化した。

DMK自己縮合は、大気圧のH2雰囲気下、管状ガラス固定床マイクロリアクター(ID0.9cm)中で行なった。リアクターを縦型管状炉の中に置いた。複合触媒サンプル(〜0.25g)は、パイレックス(登録商標)ガラスウールとセラミックス片との2つの層の間に、リアクター中にロードした。K型熱電対を複合触媒の中心に置き、反応温度を監視した。DMKは、複合触媒床の頂部の反応ゾーンに入る前に、5.0から20.0ml/分の範囲の連続的なH2の流れに混合された蒸気としてのその圧送のために、加熱されたチューブ(338−343K)に接続された日立製作所のHPLCポンプ(モデルL−2100/2130)によって、0.01から0.025ml/分の範囲の連続的な流れでリアクターに導入された。反応液体生成物を233Kで捉え、1時間毎に収集し、フレームイオン化検出器(FID)および50m×0.32mm×1.2mmのCP-Wax 58 CBカラムを装備したVarian CP-3800ガスクロマトグラフを用いることによってオフラインで分析した。下流への気体の流れは、FIDおよび熱伝導率検出器(TCD)を装備した製油所ガス分析器(RGA)Varian CP-3800GCによってオンラインで分析した。ガスクロマトグラフィで生成物を同定した。
図2に示されるXRDパターンから複合触媒の結晶相およびクリスタライトサイズを求めた。1Ru:0Znサンプルについて非晶質構造が検出された一方で、残余の調査対象固体分についてはZnOが主要結晶相であった。対応のクリスタライトサイズの算出を表1で報告する。さらに、Ru結晶相は検出されなかったが、このことはRu金属の細かな分散を示している。複合触媒はナノサイズであり、ZnO相のクリスタライトサイズは21から29nmの間の範囲に亘った。
図4は、523Kでの5つの(n−Ru/AC/n−ZnO)複合触媒についての、DMKの変換率%の機能としてのMIBKの選択性%を表示する。支配的な副生成物であるIPA、MO、およびDIBKの選択性%の値を観察した。気体相で、無視される量のプロペンおよびプロパンも検出した。そのような観察は、IPAが無視される脱水プロセスを経ていることを暗示する。これらの実験では、3%のRuロード複合触媒(3Ru:2Zn)は、46%というDMK変換率、88%というIPAに向けた高い選択性、および11%というMIBKに向けた低い選択性という結果となった。この実施形態は、RuローディングがDMK−直接水素添加に有利であることを示す。1Ru:0Zn複合触媒は最も高いIPA選択性を示した一方で、0Ru:1Znは最も低いIPA選択性という結果となった。これらの結果はH2化学吸着から得た結果を補完し、DMK自己縮合の犠牲の下にDMK−直接水素添加プロセスを高めるRuの役割を確認する。1つの実施形態では、1Ru:1Zn複合触媒が最も高いMIBK選択性(〜26%)を得た。これらの結果は、その特定の酸−塩基の性質による脱水プロセスを介したDMK自己縮合に対するn−ZnOの役割の証拠であるかもしれない。
複合触媒の触媒活性に対する、温度、DMK流量、およびH2流量の影響はさまざまなパラメータを変更することによってなされた。523、573、623、または648Kでの反応を検討することによって温度の効果を探った。アセトン流量の効果は、0.01、0.015、0.02、または0.025ml/分で調査した一方で、H2流量は、5.0、10.0、15.0、または20.0ml/分で検討した。最初の1時間のタイムオンストリーム(TOS)での主要生成物に向けた選択性%およびDMK変換率%に対する各要因の効果を実証するいくつかの代表的な例を以下に与える。
Claims (15)
- ルテニウムナノ粒子および活性炭からなる触媒と、
ナノ酸化亜鉛とを含む、1段階気相アセトン縮合用複合触媒。 - 水溶液中に反応物として硫酸亜鉛およびピルビン酸オキシム1水和物を添加するステップと、
前記反応物を混合して析出物を形成させるステップと、
前記析出物を濾過して前記析出物を真空中で一晩乾燥させるステップと、
前記析出物を一晩加熱してナノZnOを得るステップと、
ルテニウムナノ粒子および活性炭からなる触媒と前記ナノZnOとを混合し、粉末化して複合触媒を作製するステップとを含む、
請求項1に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。 - 前記複合触媒を作製する、前記ルテニウムナノ粒子および活性炭からなる触媒と前記ナノZnOとの混合比は、1:1、1:2、および3:2のうち少なくとも1つである、請求項2に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 前記析出物は亜鉛(II)2−オキシイミノプロピオネート2水和物である、請求項2に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 特定の温度、特定の水素流量、および特定の時間下で前記複合触媒を活性化することをさらに備える、請求項2に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 前記特定の温度は662Kと673Kとの間である、請求項5に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 前記特定の水素流量は50−60ml/分である、請求項5に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 前記特定の時間は一晩である、請求項5に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- 前記ルテニウムナノ粒子および活性炭からなる触媒と前記ナノZnOとを混合し、粉末化して複合触媒を作製するステップは、前記ルテニウムナノ粒子および活性炭からなる触媒と前記ナノZnOとの混合比を変えることによって、ルテニウムの分散度および酸性/塩基性部位濃度比を変えることを含む、請求項2に記載の複合触媒を作製するプロセス。
- パイレックス(登録商標)ガラスウールとセラミック片との2つの層の間に、リアクター中に、請求項1に記載の複合触媒をロードするステップと、
前記複合触媒の中心に熱電対を置いて反応温度を監視するステップと、
特定の速度および特定の温度で、加熱されたチューブおよびポンプを用いてアセトンを蒸発させるステップと、
特定の流量で連続的な流れとして蒸発させた前記アセトンを導入して水素ガスと混合するステップと、
水素ガスと混合された前記蒸発させたアセトンを前記複合触媒と反応させてメチルイソブチルケトン、ジイソブチルケトン、メシチルオキシド、メシチレンおよびイソプロピルアルコールの少なくとも1つを生産するステップとを含む、
前記複合触媒を用いる方法。 - 形成された液体生成物を収集し、ガスクロマトグラフィ機器を用いて毎時間前記液体生成物を分析するステップと、
ガス分析器を用いてガス生成物を分析して前記ガス生成物を同定し定量化するステップとをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の複合触媒を用いる方法。 - 前記液体生成物は、メチルイソブチルケトンおよびイソプロピルアルコールのうち少なくとも1つである、請求項11に記載の複合触媒を用いる方法。
- 反応温度は523K−648Kの範囲である、請求項10に記載の複合触媒を用いる方法。
- 前記アセトンの流量は、0.01、0.015、0.02、および0.025ml/分のうち少なくとも1つである、請求項10に記載の複合触媒を用いる方法。
- 水素の流量は、5.0、10.0、15.0、および20.0ml/分のうち少なくとも1つである、請求項10に記載の複合触媒を用いる方法。
