Claims (17)
- マルチメディア配信ネットワーク(400)において家庭(405)の現在のユーザ群を推定する方法であって、
家庭(405)へと配信されているマルチメディアシーケンスに関連付けられたテクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)を監視するステップ(300)であって、テクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)は、副題情報から決定され、関連付けられたマルチメディアコンテンツのストリームと一緒のストリームで家庭(405)に配信されるステップ(300)と、
記憶ユニットから、以前に家庭(405)へと提供されたテクスチュアル記述子(403)に基づく統計学的モデルの確率的パラメータの組を取得するステップ(301)と、
前記テクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)を前記統計学的モデルのパラメータと相関させることによって、現在のユーザ群(513)を推定するステップ(302)と
を含み、
前記統計学的モデルが、
以前に監視(200)および保存(201)されたテクスチュアル記述子の複数のシーケンス(403)を取得するステップ(203)であって、テクスチュアル記述子の各々のシーケンスは以前に家庭(405)へと提供されたマルチメディアシーケンスに関連付けられている、取得するステップと、
取得したテクスチュアル記述子のシーケンスについて統計的分析を、有限の数Nの最も可能性が高いユーザ群と該最も可能性が高いユーザ群の状態遷移に関する確率的パラメータの組とによって定められる(204)前記統計学的モデルが生成されるように、実行(204)するステップと、
前記統計学的モデルを定める前記確率的パラメータを保存するステップ(205)と

前記テクスチュアル記述子のストリーム(503)および前記パラメータの組についてビタビデコーディングをオンザフライで実行することによってユーザ群を推定するステップ

をさらに含む請求項1又は2に記載の方法。 - 前記カスタマイズされたマルチメディアコンテンツが、ビデオ、オーディオ、TV番組、および/または広告のうちのいずれかを含む請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記統計的分析が、家庭(405)において考えられるユーザの数と家庭(405)に関する社会経済的情報および/またはユーザの嗜好のうちの少なくとも1つを含むさらなるユーザ特有の情報にさらにもとづく請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記実行するステップ(204)が、前記取得したテクスチュアル記述子(403)のシーケンスについてバウム−ウェルチアルゴリズムを使用することによって実行される請求項4または5に記載の方法。
- 前記統計学的モデルが、動的ベイジアンネットワークによって生成される請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 監視されたテクスチュアル記述子の各々のシーケンスが、観測のシーケンスを表わし、N個のユーザ群が、隠れ状態のシーケンスを表わす請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記動的ベイジアンネットワークが、隠れマルコフモデルである請求項8に記載の方法。

- 前記配信されるマルチメディアシーケンスが、オーディオおよび/またはビデオストリームを含む請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 家庭(405)の現在のユーザ群(513)を推定するためのマルチメディア配信ネットワーク(400)の機構(501)であって、
家庭(405)へと配信されているマルチメディアシーケンス(504)に関連付けられているテクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)を監視するように構成された監視ユニット(510)であって、テクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)は、副題情報から決定され、関連付けられたマルチメディアコンテンツのストリームと一緒のストリームで家庭(405)に配信される監視ユニット(510)と、
記憶ユニット(409)から、以前に家庭(405)へと提供されたテクスチュアル記述子の複数のシーケンスにもとづく統計学的モデルのパラメータの組を取得し、前記テクスチュアル記述子のシーケンス(503)を前記統計学的モデルのパラメータと相関させることによって、現在のユーザ群(513)を推定するように構成された相関ユニット(511)と

前記統計学的モデルを定める前記確率的パラメータを保存することによって決定される、
