Description
少なくとも1つの電極を含む絶縁されたリード本体と、
該少なくとも1つの電極に電気的に接続される螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタであって、同コンダクタは、コイルピッチおよび外径を有する複数の螺旋形に巻かれた巻きを含むとともに、線径を有する単線からなり、MRIフィールドがある状態における螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの加熱を最小限にすべく該コイルピッチおよび外径は線径に基づき選択される、前記コンダクタと、
単線の螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタのコイルピッチが保持されるように螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの周囲に形成されるポリマシースとを備え、同ポリマシースは、ポリマシースの長さ部分に沿ってパターンにて部分的に取り払われ、取り払われた部分の周囲におけるコンダクタアセンブリのトルク伝達性能を向上させることとを特徴とする医療器具リード。
付記2. 前記コイルピッチは線径の等倍乃至2倍であることを特徴とする付記1に記載の医療器具リード。
付記3. 前記外径は、コイルピッチの少なくとも4.5倍であることを特徴とする付記1に記載の医療器具リード。
付記4. 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進することを特徴とする付記1に記載の医療器具リード。
付記5. 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースと螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタとの間の接着を促進する材料に覆われることを特徴とする付記4に記載の医療器具リード。
付記6. 螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの表面は、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進すべくエッチングされることを特徴とする付記4に記載の医療器具リード。
付記7. 前記ポリマシースは、拡張したポリテトラフルオロエチレン(ePTFE)、層状ePTFE、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、エチレン/テトラフルオロエチレン共重合体(ETFE)、フッ素化エチレンプロピレン(FEP)、シリコン、ポリウレタン、シリコン−ポリウレタン共重合体、および多孔性ポリマからなる群から選択される材料により形成されることを特徴とする付記1に記載の医療器具リード。
付記8. 前記線径は0.127mm(0.005インチ)未満であり、外径は、0.889mm(0.035インチ)未満であることを特徴とする付記1に記載の医療器具リード。
Claims (15)
- 医療器具リードであって、
少なくとも1つの電極と、
該少なくとも1つの電極に電気的に接続される螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタであって、同螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、コイルピッチおよび一定の外径を有する複数の螺旋形に巻かれた巻きを含むとともに線径を有する単線からなり、MRIフィールドがある状態における螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの加熱を最小限にすべく該コイルピッチは線径の等倍乃至2倍であり、外径はコイルピッチの少なくとも4.5倍である、前記コンダクタと、
単線の螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタのコイルピッチが保持されるように螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの周囲に形成されるポリマシースとを備え、同ポリマシースは、螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタのトルク伝達性能を向上させることを特徴とする医療器具リード。 - 前記ポリマシースは、ポリマシースの長さ部分に沿ってパターンにて部分的に取り払われ、該部分的に取り払われた部分の周囲の可撓性を向上させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具リード。
- 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具リード。
- 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースと螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタとの間の接着を促進する材料に覆われることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の医療器具リード。
- 螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの表面は、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進すべくエッチングされることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の医療器具リード。
- 前記ポリマシースは、拡張したポリテトラフルオロエチレン(ePTFE)、層状ePTFE、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、エチレン/テトラフルオロエチレン共重合体(ETFE)、フッ素化エチレンプロピレン(FEP)、シリコン、ポリウレタン、シリコン−ポリウレタン共重合体、および多孔性ポリマからなる群から選択される材料により形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具リード。
- 前記線径は0.127mm(0.005インチ)未満であり、外径は0.889mm(0.035インチ)未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具リード。
- ポリマシースの厚みは0.051mm(0.002インチ)未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具リード。
- 医療器具リードのためのコンダクタアセンブリであって、
コイルピッチおよび一定の外径を有する複数の螺旋形に巻かれた巻きを含むとともに、線径を有する単線からなる螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタであって、MRIフィールドがある状態における螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの加熱を最小限にすべく該コイルピッチは線径の等倍乃至2倍であり、外径はコイルピッチの少なくとも4.5倍である、前記コンダクタと、
単線の螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタのコイルピッチが保持されるように螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの周囲に形成されるポリマシースとを備え、同ポリマシースは、螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタのトルク伝達性能を向上させることとを特徴とするコンダクタアセンブリ。 - 前記ポリマシースは、ポリマシースの長さ部分に沿ってパターンにて部分的に取り払われ、該部分的に取り払われた部分の周囲の可撓性を向上させることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のコンダクタアセンブリ。
- 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のコンダクタアセンブリ。
- 前記螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタは、ポリマシースと螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタとの間の接着を促進する材料に覆われることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のコンダクタアセンブリ。
- 螺旋形に巻かれたコンダクタの表面は、ポリマシースに対する接着を促進すべくエッチングされることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のコンダクタアセンブリ。
- 前記ポリマシースは、拡張したポリテトラフルオロエチレン(ePTFE)、層状ePTFE、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、エチレン/テトラフルオロエチレン共重合体(ETFE)、フッ素化エチレンプロピレン(FEP)、シリコン、ポリウレタン、シリコン−ポリウレタン共重合体、および多孔性ポリマからなる群から選択される材料により形成されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のコンダクタアセンブリ。
