前記エンジンを取り付けるために適合させた複数の取り付け位置と
を含む、請求項18記載のエンジン。 - エンジンの容積効率及び幾何学的効率を最大化する方法であって、
ドウェル・サイクル・クランクを提供するステップと、
内燃機関のハウジング内に前記ドウェル・サイクル・クランクを位置決めするステップと、
取り付け金具を介して前記ハウジングの内部にドウェル・サイクル・クランク100を取り付けるステップと
を含む方法であって、
前記ドウェル・サイクル・クランクは、
実質的に楕円形であるフォロワ、
実質的に円形であり、一部分が除去されており、前記除去された一部分が前記実質的に楕円形のフォロワの上部と嵌合するように適合させている上部ローラ、および
実質的に円形であり、一部分が除去されており、前記除去された一部分が前記実質的に楕円形のフォロワの下部と嵌合するように適合させている下部ローラ、
を含み、
前記フォロワがS字形パターンで本体内の前記ローラ間を進行できるように回転するようにそれぞれのローラを適合させた位置で前記上部ローラ及び下部ローラが前記本体内に位置決めされる、方法。
