Claims (4)
- エルビウム(Er)を添加した複数のコアを有するマルチコア伝送用の信号増幅用光ファイバと、
前記光ファイバのコアの各々に信号光と励起光とを入力する励起合波部と、
第1の波長帯のn個(nは1以上の整数)の第1の信号光を前記光ファイバのn本のコアを用いてそれぞれ増幅し、前記第1の波長帯とは異なる第2の波長帯のm個(mは1以上の整数)の第2の信号光を前記光ファイバのc本(cは2以上の整数)のコアを接続したm個のコアを用いてそれぞれ増幅するように、n+m個の入力光をn+(m×c)本のコアに接続する入力部と、
前記光ファイバのn+(m×c)本のコアから、n+m個の出力光を選択する出力部とを備え、
前記光ファイバのコアに添加するErの添加濃度が均一であることを特徴とするマルチコア光ファイバ増幅器。 - エルビウム(Er)を添加したコアを有する複数の信号増幅用光ファイバと、
前記光ファイバの各々に信号光と励起光とを入力する励起合波部と、
第1の波長帯のn個(nは1以上の整数)の第1の信号光をn本の光ファイバを用いてそれぞれ増幅し、前記第1の波長帯とは異なる第2の波長帯のm個(mは1以上の整数)の第2の信号光をc本(cは2以上の整数)の光ファイバを接続したm個の光ファイバを用いてそれぞれ増幅するように、n+m個の入力光をn+(m×c)本の光ファイバに接続する入力部と、
前記n+(m×c)本の光ファイバから、n+m個の出力光を選択する出力部とを備え、
前記光ファイバのコアに添加するErの添加濃度が均一であることを特徴とするマルチコア光ファイバ増幅器。 - 前記第1の信号光の少なくとも1つと前記第2の信号光の少なくとも1つとが、波長多重されており、前記入力部および前記出力部は、波長帯域を合分波する光学回路を有していることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のマルチコア光ファイバ増幅器。
- 前記第1の波長帯は、C帯(1525〜1565nm)であり、前記第2の波長帯は、L帯(1565〜1615nm)であることを特徴とする請求項1、2または3に記載のマルチコア光ファイバ増幅器。
