Description
この発明の目的は、送達装置の使用者制御型送達シーケンスを提供することである。
この発明の好ましい実施例は、従属する特許クレームの主題をなす。
本発明のさらに別の局面に従うと、スクロールホイールセグメントは、摩擦増強部材が配置された手動操作面を含む。
本発明にはいくつかの利点が存在する。送達装置には送達解放機構および制御速度機構を含む手動操作可能送達コントローラが配置されているので、使用者は、送達の開始を容易に制御できるだけでなく、送達速度を、力源によって与えられる最大速度から、送達シーケンスを一時停止させるように完全に停止させるまで容易に制御することができる。これは、たとえば、使用者が送達を一時的に停止させるかまたは送達の速度を低下させることを希望する場合には大きな利点となる。これは、たとえば、注入された薬剤が痛みを引起こすような注入中、または、送達シーケンスの解除後に吸入と薬剤送達との間のタイミングを彼/彼女が十分に制御できないと感じるような薬剤の吸入中に起こり得るだろう。
図1〜図4に示される実施例は薬剤注入装置である。
図1は、薬剤送達装置10の一例を示す。薬剤送達装置10は、前部12および後部14の2部分から成る概して細長い管状のハウジングを含む。これら前部12および後部14は、適用例および企図される用途に応じて好適な態様で、たとえば、ねじ山、バヨネット嵌合、嵌込み式コネクタなどにより解放可能に、または、深い溝、接着、溶接などによって固定して、互いに接続可能である。

- 薬剤送達装置(10)であって、
前部(12)および後部(14)を含む概して細長い管状のハウジングと、
前部内に配置された薬剤容器(22)とを含み、容器は、送達部材を備えた、または送達部材のための前方開口部を有し、ここを通って薬剤が送達され、前記薬剤送達装置(10)はさらに、
力源(26)およびプランジャロッド(28)を含む薬剤送達駆動ユニットを含み、前記薬剤送達駆動ユニットは、前記薬剤容器(22)内において閉栓位置と解放された位置との間で定められた速度で動かされるよう配置され、前記薬剤送達装置(10)はさらに、
スクロールホイールセグメント(30)からなる手動操作可能送達コントローラを含み、前記手動操作可能送達コントローラは、前記手動操作可能送達コントローラの解放機構が前記薬剤送達駆動ユニットをその閉栓位置で保持するロックされた位置と、前記解放機構が薬剤送達駆動ユニットを解放する解放位置との間で動かされるよう配置され、
前記手動操作可能送達コントローラはさらに、解放位置と、前記手動操作可能送達コントローラの制御速度機構が前記薬剤送達駆動ユニットと相互作用して薬剤送達駆動ユニットの速度、およびこれにより薬剤送達速度を制御する制御位置との間で移動するよう配置され、スクロールホイールセグメント(30)は、後部(14)の側部にある開口部(34)を通って幾らか突出していて、軸(32)を中心として回転可能に配置され、
制御速度機構は、プランジャロッド(28)の側面と相互作用するスクロールホイールセグメント(30)の接触面(38)であり、スクロールホイールセグメントが解放位置から制御位置に動かされると、接触面(38)がプランジャロッド(28)の側面と摩擦接触し、薬剤送達駆動ユニットの速度と、これにより薬剤送達速度とを制御し、
スクロールホイールセグメント(30)の円弧状周縁に対して接線方向でかつプランジャロッド(28)に平行な摩擦力のみを前記円弧状周縁に印加させたときでも、スクロールホイールセグメントを前記軸(32)の周りに回転させて前記接触面(38)をプランジャーロッド(28)の側面に摩擦接触させ得る、薬剤送達装置(10)。 - 解放機構は、プランジャロッドの前方端部と相互作用するスクロールホイールセグメント(30)のレッジ(36)であり、このため、プランジャロッド28の前方端部がレッジ(36)の上に載ると、薬剤送達駆動ユニットがその閉栓位置で保持され、スクロールホイールセグメントがロックされた位置から解放位置に動かされると、レッジ(36)が、プランジャロッドの前方端部から外され、駆動手段が閉栓位置から解放された位置に動かされる、請求項1に記載の送達装置。
- 接触面(38)には摩擦増強部材が配置される、請求項1または2に記載の送達装置。
- スクロールホイールセグメント(30)は、摩擦増強部材が配置された手動操作面(35)を含む、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の送達装置。
