Claims (20)
- 基地局であって、
所定の電力レベルで前記基地局から発せられたパイロット信号を用いて無線通信サービスを第1の無線通信装置に提供するように構成された無線インターフェースと、
前記基地局がサービスを提供するエリア内で第2の無線通信装置を検出するように構成された検出器と、
前記第2の無線通信装置を検出したことに応じて、前記パイロット信号の電力レベルを前記所定の電力レベルよりも高くするように構成されたコントローラと、
を含む基地局。 - 前記所定の電力レベルは、前記パイロット信号の公称電力レベルよりも低い低減された電力レベルである請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 前記低減された電力レベルは、前記第1及び前記第2の無線通信装置以外の装置への干渉を最小化するために設定される請求項2に記載の基地局。
- 前記コントローラは、所定の時間にわたって前記パイロット信号の電力レベルを徐々に上げるように構成される請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 前記第2の無線通信装置が検出された後、1つ以上の電力制御コマンドを前記第1の無線通信装置に送信するように構成された送信機をさらに備える請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 前記電力制御コマンドは、前記第1の無線通信装置に対して送信電力レベルを維持することを指示する請求項5に記載の基地局。
- 前記電力制御コマンドは、前記基地局が前記パイロット信号の前記電力レベルを上げる前に発生する請求項6に記載の基地局。
- 前記基地局は、フェムトセル基地局である請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 前記コントローラは、前記第2の無線通信装置が前記基地局からのサービスを受ける権限があるかどうかを判断するようにさらに構成される請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 前記所定の電力レベルは、前記基地局と前記第1の無線通信装置との間のエアリンクの質に基づくものである請求項1に記載の基地局。
- 基地局からのパイロット信号の送信を管理する方法であって、
所定の電力レベルで前記基地局から発せられたパイロット信号を用いて第1の無線通信装置にサービスを提供し、
前記基地局がサービスを提供するエリア内で第2の無線通信装置を検出し、
前記第2の無線通信装置の検出に応じて、前記パイロット信号の電力レベルを前記所定の電力レベルよりも高くする、
ことを含む方法。 - 前記第2の無線通信装置の検出において、前記第2の無線通信装置から送信された検出信号を受信することをさらに含む請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記検出信号は、他の基地局に送信された上りリンク通信信号である請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の無線通信装置に対応する長符号マスクを用いて前記上りリンク通信信号を復号することをさらに含み、前記上りリンク信号の復号に成功した場合に前記上りリンク通信信号が検出される請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記パイロット信号は、通信パイロット信号である請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の電力レベルは、前記パイロット信号の通常電力レベルよりも低い低減された電力レベルである請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記第1及び前記第2の無線通信装置以外の装置への干渉を最小化するために前記低減された電力レベルを設定することをさらに含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 高くすることは、前記パイロット信号の電力レベルを所定の時間にわたって徐々に上げることを含む請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の無線通信装置を検出した後かつ前記パイロット信号の電力レベルを上げる前に、1つ以上の電力制御コマンドを前記第1の無線通信装置に送信することをさらに含む請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記電力制御コマンドの送信は、前記基地局が前記パイロット信号の前記電力レベルを上げる前に発生する請求項19に記載の方法。
