本発明を従来技術と比較するため、典型例に基づき相対的光熱費を計算してメタキシレン1トンあたりで下記の結果を得た。本発明の方法により実質的な節約になった。

Claims (10)
- C8およびそれより重質の芳香族炭化水素を含む供給原料から高純度のメタキシレンを回収する方法であって、
(a)キシレンカラム中で供給原料を蒸留して、C9以上の重質炭化水素からC8芳香族炭化水素を分離し、かつ、オルソキシレン濃縮物を側留油として取り出す工程と、
(b)液相吸着条件の選択吸着工程でC8芳香族炭化水素をゼオライト含有吸着材と接触させてメタキシレンを吸着し、前記C8芳香族炭化水素の非吸着部を抽残液流として除去し、かつ、脱着条件で脱着材を用いて脱着して高純度メタキシレンを回収する工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記オルソキシレン濃縮物が少なくとも40重量%のオルソキシレンを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記オルソキシレン濃縮物をさらに分別して高純度のオルソキシレンを回収することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記吸着材がY型ゼオライトを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脱着剤がトルエンからなる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記脱着剤がインダンからなる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記吸着条件が100℃〜150℃の温度を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給原料からパラキシレンを回収することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給原料は炭化水素混合物から芳香族化合物を抽出して調製した、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 異性化条件で異性化触媒を用いて抽残液流を異性化して異性化流を得て、供給原料とともに異性化流を蒸留してC8芳香族炭化水素を重質炭化水素およびオルソキシレン濃縮物から分離する工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
