Claims (9)
- 複数の電極(26)に電気結合されるように構成された複数の電気端子(58)と、
前記電極(26)の能動的組み合わせの間に電気エネルギーを伝え、これにより前記電極(26)が前記組織(166)の近傍に設置される時、患者(160)の組織(166)に刺激領域(48)を形成するように構成された出力刺激回路(50)と、
前記刺激領域(48)の前記位置を変位させる前記患者(160)の希望の指標である認知ベースの脳信号を前記患者(160)から感知するように構成されたモニター回路(70)と、
前記モニター回路(70)から感知した認知ベースの脳信号を分析し、前記感知した認知ベースの脳信号に基づいて前記出力刺激回路(50)を制御して、前記電極(26)の同じ能動的組み合わせを使用することにより前記刺激領域(48)の位置を次第に変位させるように構成された制御回路(74、114)と、を有することを特徴とする神経刺激システム(10)。 - 前記出力刺激回路(50)は、前記電極(26)の能動的組み合わせの間に前記電気エネルギーを伝え、前記患者(160)が患っている機能障害の状態を変化させるように構成され、前記感知した認知ベースの脳信号は、前記機能障害の前記変化の状態の指標であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記制御回路(74、114)は、前記出力刺激回路(50)を自動的に制御し、前記記刺激領域(48)の前記位置を変位させる前記患者(160)の希望の変化に対応して、前記刺激領域(48)の前記位置を次第に変位させるように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記出力刺激回路(50)は、単一タイミングチャンネルに応じて、前記電極(26)の能動的組み合わせの間に前記電気エネルギーを伝え、前記刺激領域(48)を形成するように構成され、前記制御回路(74、114)は、前記出力刺激回路(50)を制御し、前記単一タイミングチャンネルの少なくとも2つの前記電極(26)の能動的組み合わせの間の電流を移動させることにより、前記刺激領域(48)の前記位置を次第に変位させるように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記出力刺激回路(50)は、複数のタイミングチャンネルに応じて、前記電極(26)の能動的組み合わせの間に前記電気エネルギーを伝え、前記刺激領域(48)を形成するように構成され、前記制御回路(74、114)は、前記出力刺激回路(50)を制御して、前記タイミングチャンネルに応じて伝えられる前記電気エネルギーの相対的大きさを修正することにより、前記刺激領域(48)の前記位置を変位させるように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- ケースを更に有し、前記電気端子(58)と出力刺激回路(50)が、前記ケース(32)に収容されて神経刺激付与器(14)を形成することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5までのいずれか一項に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記モニター回路(70)は、前記ケース(32)内に収容されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記制御回路(74、114)は、前記ケース(32)内に収容されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
- 前記神経刺激付与器(14)は、埋め込み型であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の神経刺激システム(10)。
