Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a battery and an assembled battery such as a lithium ion secondary battery, a lithium secondary battery, and a polymer secondary battery, and more specifically, a battery and an assembled battery including an exterior body made of a flexible film that accommodates a unit cell. It relates to batteries. In this specification and claims, not only so-called batteries such as lithium ion secondary batteries, lithium secondary batteries, polymer secondary batteries, but also “electric storage devices” including electric double layer capacitors are collectively referred to. It is called “battery”.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, for example, batteries such as lithium ion secondary batteries have been increasingly demanded for downsizing, weight reduction, thickness reduction, shape freedom, and the like with the expansion of various applications.
Therefore, in order to meet such demands, a laminate film having a multilayer structure has been conventionally used to form a flexible exterior body that accommodates a unit cell. The laminate film is composed of an inner surface layer facing the unit cell (battery element), an intermediate layer, and an outer surface layer facing the outside. The inner surface layer is made of, for example, a thermoplastic resin excellent in electrolytic solution resistance and heat sealability, such as polyethylene and polypropylene. An intermediate | middle layer consists of metal foil excellent in flexibility and intensity | strength, such as aluminum foil, for example. An outer surface layer consists of insulating resin excellent in electrical insulation, such as a polyamide-type resin, for example.
A structure of a battery (hereinafter referred to as a laminate type battery) in which a unit cell is housed in an exterior body made of such a laminate film is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2007-173223 (hereinafter referred to as Patent Document 1). ing.

As shown in FIG. 20A, in the

FIG. 21 is a perspective view showing one example of the battery stack disclosed in
As shown in FIG. 21, the
However, the following problems may occur in the conventional laminated battery.
First, when a battery stack is configured as an example of an assembled battery by combining unit batteries as disclosed in
Next, when positioning and fixing a conventional laminate type battery alone to other components, the mechanical strength of the outer peripheral surface and the peripheral portion of the outer casing is relatively low, so that physical properties such as screws, bolts, rivets, etc. Therefore, it is impossible to position the laminated battery with respect to other components by directly providing a fixing means on the exterior body. Moreover, since the mechanical strength of the outer peripheral surface and the peripheral portion of the outer package is relatively low, it is easily damaged when stress occurs in the outer package, and it is difficult to handle the laminated battery as it is, A conventional laminate type battery has a problem that workability is poor.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a laminate type battery that can be fixed or positioned easily and can improve workability.
A battery according to the present invention includes an exterior member made of a flexible film disposed so as to sandwich both sides of a unit cell in order to accommodate the unit cell, a unit cell for fixing the cell to another member, and A fixed location forming member in which a fixed location is formed as a member used separately from the positive and negative terminals of the unit cell, and a part of the fixed location forming member at least part of the periphery of the exterior material And a heat-welded portion in which the peripheral edge portion of the exterior material is heat-welded in a state of being disposed so as to be interposed therebetween.
In the battery of the present invention, at the heat welded portion where the outer periphery of the exterior material is thermally welded, at least part of the periphery of the exterior material, a part of the fixing point forming member is interposed between the exterior materials. Since it is disposed, a fixing location forming member for attaching a physical fixing member such as a screw, a bolt, or a rivet can be integrated with the exterior material. Thereby, since a fixing location can be given to an exterior material, it is possible to easily fix or position a single or a plurality of laminated batteries without using a chemical fixing means such as an adhesive or an adhesive tape. And workability can be improved. Moreover, since the fixing location forming member is fixed to the exterior material, the laminated battery can be easily fixed or positioned by attaching the fixing member to the fixing location forming member. Furthermore, since the fixed location forming member is independent from the exterior material that houses the unit cells, the shape of the fixed location forming member can be arbitrarily changed, and the degree of freedom of the structure for fixing or positioning is increased. Furthermore, since the fixed location forming member is independent of the outer package that houses the unit cell, even if stress is generated on the fixed location forming member, the unit cell is less damaged. In addition, since the fixed location forming member is fixed to the exterior material in the process of heat welding the exterior material, a separate heating process is not required to apply the fixed location forming member to the battery. The influence of deterioration or the like can be reduced. Since the fixed location forming member acts as a reinforcing material for the exterior material, the mechanical strength of the battery can be increased.
In the battery of the present invention, the fixed portion forming member, Ru plate members der disposed unit cell. The plate- like member may be one plate-like member arranged on one side or one side of the unit cell, or may be two plate-like members arranged on both sides or two adjacent sides of the unit cell. Three or more plate-like members arranged on three sides or the like may be used.
By comprising in this way, a fixing location formation member can be easily fixed and arranged to a unit cell.
In the battery of the present invention, the fixed location forming member is preferably a plate-like member having a through hole into which the unit cell is inserted and a peripheral edge formed so as to surround the through hole.
By comprising in this way, a fixing | fixed location formation member can be fixed and arrange | positioned so that it may integrate with a unit cell.
In this case, it is preferable that the fixing location forming member has a crossing portion that crosses the through hole.
By comprising in this way, the intensity | strength of the fixing location formation member which has a through-hole can be improved.
Furthermore, in this case, it is preferable that a notch is formed as a fixed portion in the peripheral portion of the fixed portion forming member.
By comprising in this way, a battery can be fixed or positioned by inserting a part of other member into a notch, without separately using physical fixing members, such as a screw, a volt | bolt, and a rivet.
In the battery according to the present invention, the fixing portion forming member includes a plate-like portion having a through-hole into which the unit cell is inserted and a peripheral portion formed so as to surround the through-hole, and at least an outer periphery of the plate-like portion. Including a part of the frame-shaped part, the plate-shaped part of the fixed-point forming member is arranged so as to be interposed between the exterior materials, and the fixed part is formed in the frame-shaped part of the fixed-point forming member It is preferable.
By comprising in this way, a some battery can be easily connected and fixed by aligning the frame-shaped part of a fixing location formation member.
In this case, it is preferable that a plurality of through holes are formed in the peripheral edge portion of the plate-like portion of the fixed portion forming member.
By comprising in this way, since the area | region which an exterior material contacts directly in a heat welding part can be increased through a some through-hole, the sealing performance of an exterior material can be improved.
In this case, the battery of the present invention further includes a positive electrode connection terminal and a negative electrode connection terminal that are electrically connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the unit cell and extend from the exterior material, respectively. It is preferable that both of the terminals extend from one side surface of the unit cell, and the frame-shaped portion of the fixing portion forming member is formed to extend along the other side surface intersecting with one side surface of the unit cell.
Thus, the frame-shaped portion of the fixed portion forming member is formed along the side surface intersecting the side surface of the battery on the side where the positive electrode connecting terminal and the negative electrode connecting terminal protrude and extend. For this reason, when connecting and fixing a plurality of batteries by aligning the frame-shaped parts of the fixing point forming member, the positive electrode connecting terminal and the negative electrode connecting terminal aligned on one side surface are easily and electrically connected to each other. can do.
In the battery of the present invention, in the length along the peripheral direction of the exterior material, the length of the fixing point forming member that divides the heat welding portion is the heat sandwiched between the fixing point forming member portions that divide the heat welding portion. It is preferable that the length is shorter than the length of the welded portion.
In the battery according to the present invention, a part of the fixing portion forming member is interposed between the exterior materials, so that the area where the exterior material is in direct contact with the heat welded portion is reduced, but the area where the heat welded portion is divided is relatively By reducing the size, the rate of reduction of the area in direct contact with the exterior material can be kept small. Thereby, it can prevent that the sealing performance of an exterior material falls by interposition of a fixing location formation member.
In this case, it is preferable that a plurality of through holes are formed in the portion of the fixing location forming member that divides the heat welded portion.
By comprising in this way, since the area | region which an exterior material contacts directly in a heat welding part can be increased through a some through-hole, the sealing performance of an exterior material can be improved.
The assembled battery according to the present invention includes a plurality of batteries having at least one of the above-described characteristics, and a plurality of batteries are connected by attaching a fixing member to a fixing portion.
In the assembled battery of the present invention, each battery can be handled as a single battery that can be fixed or positioned using a physical fixing member in a form in which each battery is sealed and held with an exterior material. A plurality of batteries can be handled separately in the battery. As a result, it is possible to easily remove and replace only the defective battery or only the deteriorated battery in the assembled battery, so that an assembled battery with excellent maintainability can be obtained. In addition, since extra members such as cushioning materials are not incorporated into the assembled battery case, the space utilization efficiency can be improved, and a plurality of batteries can be accommodated in the case exactly by attaching a fixing member to the fixed location. can do. Furthermore, since mutual fixation between the individual batteries and mutual electrical connection of the electrode connecting members can be performed collectively, the number of work steps in manufacturing the assembled battery can be reduced.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to easily fix or position the laminated battery, and it is possible to improve workability.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the battery of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
(Embodiment 1)
1 is an exploded perspective view showing a battery according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a battery according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is taken along III-III in FIG. It is sectional drawing seen from the direction.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the
The first
The
The fixed
As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a part of the fixing
As a material of the fixing
FIG. 4 is a perspective
As shown in FIG. 4, in each of the fixing
In summary, in the
As shown in FIG. 1, the fixing
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, a physical fixing member such as a screw, a bolt, or a rivet is used by forming through holes in the fixing
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4, the assembled
FIG. 5 is a partial plan view showing another form of the fixing point forming member used in
In FIG. 1, the fixing
In
In this case, as shown in FIG. 5B, it is preferable that a plurality of through-

As shown in FIG. 17, a plurality of fixing points 204 (not shown) formed on the fixing
The
In other words, in the
18 and 19 are schematic plan
As shown in FIG. 18, the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 19, the
As shown in FIG. 19, by forming a plurality of through
