Description
本出願の原出願は、2002年9月19日出願の米国特許出願第10/251,629号の一部継続出願であり、その開示を、本願明細書に参照のために(ここでは第‘629号出願と呼ぶ)に取り込む。
本発明は、心臓に対し電気的刺激の形で治療を監視するだけの装置や治療を行うデバイスを含め、心臓の電気的活動を検知する能力をもった任意の心臓デバイスへ組み込むことができる。しかしながら、説明の都合上、本発明は両心室をぺーシングするかまたは図1に示した単一の心室へ二つのペースを送出する二つの心室ぺーシングチャネルを有する二重室ペースメーカ(すなわち、心房と心室の両方を検知しかつ/又はぺーシングするもの)を参照して説明する。(本願明細書にてこの用語を使用する如く、ペースメーカはこの種電気除細動/除細動等を実行できるどんな追加の機能にも拘わらず、ぺーシング機能をもった任意の心臓リズム管理デバイスである。)この種デバイスは固有のまたはぺーシングしたか、いずれかの心臓の活動から電位図を収集でき(後者は誘発応答電位図と呼ばれる)、表示電位図が導出される。また、後述する如く、二つの心室検知チャネルを持たせることで、デバイスを一方のこの種チャネルから記録される電位図を他方のチャネルで検知される心室検知信号に対し整列配置させ、記録された電位図が全て一定の基準点から始まるようにしてある。
本発明によれば、電位図を記録し処理する能力を有する埋込可能な心拍管理デバイスをプログラムし、所定の時間期間または特定の心拍について表示電位図を計算する。この種の表示電位図は、外部プログラム作成装置へダウンロードして表示することができる。表示電位図は、時間期間または図解的に示した個別の表示電位図により表わされる心拍をもって集合様式にて表示することができる。以下は、二つの例示実施形態の説明である。
Claims (12)
- 電位図を記録し、提示するシステムであって、前記システムは、
コントローラ(10、12)と、心臓の電気的活動を検知し、電位図信号を生成する第1の検知チャネルとを有する埋込可能な心臓デバイスと、
前記埋込可能な心臓デバイスと通信する外部計算デバイス(300)と
を備え、
前記システムは、
前記埋込可能な心臓デバイスの前記コントローラが、患者の心拍数が特定の範囲内にある場合のみ、特定の長期の期間にわたって複数の電位図を記録することと、前記特定の長期の期間内の複数の離散時間間隔の各々に対して代表的な電位図を生成することと、前記離散時間間隔中に記録された複数の電位図の時間平均として、各離散時間間隔に対する代表的な電位図を計算することとを行うようにプログラムされていることと、
前記外部計算デバイスが、前記埋込可能なデバイスから複数の代表的な電位図をダウンロードすることと、互いに重ね合わせられ、各時間間隔に対応した前記複数の代表的な電位図の集合的な表示を生成することとを行うように構成されていることと
によって特徴付けられる、システム。 - 前記代表的な電位図は、固有電位図である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記代表的な電位図は、誘発応答電位図である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記代表的な電位図は、前記外部計算デバイスのディスプレイ画面上に表示される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の代表的な電位図の各々は、前記代表的な電位図によって表される所定時間期間を特定するグラフの陰影又は着色を用いた電位図振幅のグラフとして表示される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記特定の長期の期間内で連続的な別々の時間間隔に対して代表的な電位図を連続的に生成するようにプログラムされている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、最も古い前記代表的な電位図を廃棄した状態でメモリ内に所定数の代表的な電位図を維持するようにプログラムされている、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 電位図を記録し、提示するシステムであって、前記システムは、
コントローラ(10、12)と、心臓の電気的活動を検知し、電位図信号を生成する第1の検知チャネルとを有する埋込可能な心臓デバイスと、
前記埋込可能な心臓デバイスと通信する外部計算デバイス(300)と
を備え、
前記システムは、
前記埋込可能な心臓デバイスの前記コントローラが、特定の長期の期間にわたって複数の電位図を記録するようにプログラムされていることと、患者の心拍数が特定の心拍数の範囲内にある場合に、記録された複数の電位図の時間平均として、前記特定の心拍数の範囲に対する各代表的な電位図を計算することによって、前記特定の長期の期間中の複数の心拍数の範囲の各々に対して代表的な電位図を生成するようにプログラムされていることと、
前記外部計算デバイスが、前記埋込可能なデバイスから複数の代表的な電位図をダウンロードすることと、互いに重ね合わせられ、各心拍数の範囲に対応した前記複数の代表的な電位図の集合的な表示を生成することとを行うように構成されていることと
によって特徴付けられる、システム。 - 前記代表的な電位図は、固有電位図である、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記代表的な電位図は、誘発応答電位図であり、前記心拍数は、ペーシングレートを指す、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記代表的な電位図は、前記外部計算デバイスのディスプレイ画面上に表示される、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の代表的な電位図の各々は、前記代表的な電位図によって表される所定の心拍数の範囲を特定するグラフの陰影又は着色を用いた時間又はサンプル番号に対する振幅のグラフとして表示される、請求項8に記載のシステム。
