Claims (20)
- 流体試料を収容すると共に、分析のため流体試料を光線で照射するフローセルにおいて、
第一の端部と、第二の端部と、該第一及び第二の端部間に延びる光案内部材と、を有するフローセル本体にして、前記光案内部材が流体を受けるための貫通穴を画成しており、前記第一の端部と前記第二の端部の各々が前記貫通穴と流体的に連通する端部通路を含み、各端部通路が半径方向にのびる部分を有している、フローセル本体と、
前記フローセル本体の前記第一の端部に近接して配置された第一の端部インターフェース及び前記フローセル本体の前記第二の端部に近接して配置された第二の端部インターフェースであって、その各々が、光伝送部材及び流体伝導部材を有するインターフェースハウジングを備え、前記第一の端部インターフェース及び第二の端部インターフェースの各々の前記光伝送部材及び流体伝導部材は互いに対して及び前記光案内部材により画成される前記貫通穴に対して平行に配置されて、前記流体伝導部材が前記フローセル本体の各端部通路の前記半径方向にのびる部分と連通し、また、光伝送部材が前記フローセル本体の光案内部材により画成された貫通穴と光学的に相互接続される、前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースと、
前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースをそれぞれ前記第一の端部及び第二の端部と整合するようにして該第一の端部及び第二の端部に締結する、第一の端部クランプ止め部材及び第二の端部クランプ止め部材と、
を備える、フローセル。 - 請求項1に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記第一の端部クランプ止め部材及び前記第二の端部クランプ止め部材の各々が、前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースを前記フローセル本体に機械的に締結する締結具を受け入れる穴を有する、フローセル。
- 請求項1または2に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記光案内部材が、前記流体試料の屈折率よりも小さい屈折率を有する非結晶フルオロポリマーで出来ている、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記貫通穴を前記第一の端部インターフェース及び第二の端部インターフェースの前記流体伝導部材のそれぞれ1つと流体的に連通させる形態とされた少なくとも1つの内側流体通路を更に備える、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記フローセル本体がポリエーテルエーテルケトン材料を含んでいる、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記光案内部材がテトラフルオロエチレンを有する過フッ素−2,2−ジメチル−1,3−ジオキソールの非結晶共重合体で出来た管状部材である、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記光案内部材を囲むハウジングを更に含む、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記光伝送部材が光ファイバである、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記流体伝導部材が毛管である、フローセル。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のフローセルにおいて、前記インターフェースハウジングが、前記光伝送部材及び前記流体伝送部材を捕捉するポリエーテルエーテルケトンのオーバ成形品である、フローセル。
- フローセルの製造方法において、
第一及び第二の端部インターフェースにして、各々が光伝送部材と、流体伝導部材と、前記光伝送部材及び前記流体伝導部材の各々を捕捉するインターフェースハウジングとを有する第一及び第二の端部インターフェースを形成するステップと、
第一の端部と、第二の端部と、該第一の端部及び第二の端部間に延びる光案内部材にして、流体を受ける貫通穴を画成している光案内部材とを有し、前記第一の端部及び前記第二の端部の各々が前記貫通穴と流体的に連通する端部通路を有し、各端部通路が半径方向にのびる部分を有する、フローセル本体を形成するステップと、
前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースを、それぞれ第一の端部クランプ止め部材及び第二の端部クランプ止め部材によって前記フローセル本体に固着し、それによって、前記フローセル本体の前記端部通路の各々の前記半径方向に延びる部分を介して前記流体伝導部材を前記貫通穴と流体連通させたときに、前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースの各々の前記光伝送部材及び流体伝導部材を、互いに対して及び前記フローセル本体の前記貫通穴に対して平行に配置し、前記光伝送部材を前記貫通穴と光学的に相互連結させるステップと、
を備える、製造方法。 - 請求項11の方法において、前記光伝送部材が光ファイバを備え、前記流体伝導部材が毛管を備える、方法。
- 請求項11または12に記載の方法において、前記光案内部材がテトラフルオロエチレンを有する過フッ素−2,2−ジメチル−1,3−ジオキソールの非結晶共重合体で出来た管状部材である、方法。
- 請求項11〜13のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記フローセル本体がポリエーテルエーテルケトン材料を含んでいる、方法。
- 流体試料を分析する装置において、
光源と、
光線を感知する感知装置と、
分析のため流体試料を前記光源からの光線で照射すべく流体試料を収容するフローセルを含むフローセルアセンブリと、を備え、
前記フローセルが、
第一の端部と、第二の端部と、該第一及び第二の端部間に延びる光案内部材と、を有するフローセル本体にして、前記光案内部材が流体を受けるための貫通穴を画成しており、前記第一及び第二の端部の各々が、前記貫通穴と流体連通する端部通路を有し、各端部通路が半径方向にのびる部分を有している、フローセル本体と、
前記フローセル本体の前記第一の端部に近接して配置された第一の端部インターフェース及び前記フローセル本体の前記第二の端部に近接して配置された第二の端部インターフェースであって、その各々が、光伝送部材及び流体伝導部材を有するインターフェースハウジングを備えており、前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二のインターフェースの各々の前記光伝送部材及び前記流体伝導部材は互いに対して及び前記光案内部材によって画成された前記貫通穴に対して平行に配置され、それによって前記流体伝導部材が前記フローセル本体の前記端部通路の各々の前記半径方向にのびる部分と連通し、前記光伝送部材が前記フローセル本体の前記光案内部材によって画成された前記貫通穴と光学的に相互接続されるようになっている、第一の端部インターフェース及び第二の端部インターフェースと、
前記第一の端部インターフェース及び前記第二の端部インターフェースをそれぞれ前記第一の端部及び第二の端部と整合するようにして該第一の端部及び第二の端部に締結する、第一の端部クランプ止め部材及び第二の端部クランプ止め部材と、
を備える、装置。 - 請求項15の流体試料を分析する装置において、前記光案内部材がテトラフルオロエチレンを有する過フッ素−2,2−ジメチル−1,3−ジオキソールの非結晶共重合体から成る管状部材である、装置。
- 請求項15または16に記載の流体試料を分析する装置において、前記フローセル本体がポリエーテルエーテルケトン材料を含んでいる、装置。
- 請求項1〜10に記載ののフローセルにおいて、前記端部通路の前記半径方向にのびる部分は、幅が約76.2μm(約0.003インチ)であり、最小深さが約50.8μm(約0.002インチ)である、フローセル。
- 請求項11〜14に記載の方法において、前記端部通路の前記半径方向にのびる部分は、幅が約76.2μm(約0.003インチ)であり、最小深さが約50.8μm(約0.002インチ)である、方法。
