Description
セルロース木材パルプ繊維にはこれらの欠点がない。セルロース木材パルプ繊維は、ガラス繊維または無機フィラーに比べて比較的低密度である。例えば、セルロース木材パルプ繊維は約1500kg/m3の密度であるのに対し、Eグレードのガラス繊維の密度は2500kg/m3である。これによってより低密度でより軽量な製品が得られる。これは、例えば、自動車用途を始めとする多くの用途において重要な事項である。セルロース木材パルプ繊維は、ガラス繊維ほど磨耗性でなく、ガラス繊維や無機フィラーと同じほどには処理装置を磨耗させない。
図1〜3において、小片10は六角形の形状をしており、同じ長さの対向する2つの辺12および18(他の4辺14、16、20および22よりも長い)を有する。他の4辺14、16、20および22は、図示したように同じ長さでもよく、異なる長さでもよい。辺のうちの2つ、すなわち、各側のもの(14と20または14と22など)は同じ長さでもよく、各側の他の2辺(16と22または16と20)は同じ長さでもよく、異なる長さでもよい。これらのいずれのバリエーションにおいて、辺10および18は同じ長さでもよく、異なる長さでもよい。小片の縁は鋭くても丸くてもよい。
図4および図5は、六角形の6辺がそれぞれ異なる長さである態様を示す。図示したこの態様は説明のためのものであり、辺の長さのオーダーや辺の長さのサイズは変更してよい。
本発明の小片内の繊維配置は、六角形の主軸に対して平行または六角形の主軸に対して垂直であってよく、その間の配向でもよい。
六角形小片は、四角または矩形の小片に対して数多くの利点を有する。周囲が六角形の小片は、周囲が矩形または四角の小片よりも早く調製することができ、周囲が矩形または四角の小片よりも速く送り出すことができる。ある態様では四角小片の1.6倍の速度で六角形小片が調製された。
Claims (18)
- 2つの対向する面と六角形の外周を有し、主軸長が4〜8mm、短軸長が2〜5mm、厚さが0.1mm〜4mmであるセルロース木材パルプ繊維小片。
- 前記木材パルプ繊維が、木材パルプシート、板紙シートまたは紙シートの形態である、請求項1の小片。
- 前記六角形が等辺六角形である、請求項1の小片。
- 前記六角形の辺が異なる長さである、請求項1の小片。
- 前記六角形の対向する2つの辺が同じ長さであり、この2辺が六角形の他の辺より長い、請求項1の小片。
- 基本重量が12〜2000g/m 2 である、請求項1の小片。
- 対向する面のそれぞれの面積が12〜30mm2である、請求項1の小片。
- 六角形の外周が12mm〜32mmである、請求項1の小片。
- 2つの対向する面と六角形の外周を有し、主軸長が4〜8mm、短軸長が2〜5mm、厚さが0.1mm〜4mmであるセルロース木材パルプ繊維小片を用意すること、
この小片をフィーダーからミキサーに送り出すこと、
この小片から繊維、繊維束またはこれらの混合物を混合前または混合中に形成すること、
この繊維、繊維束またはこれらの混合物を材料と混合して、この繊維、繊維束またはこれらの混合物と材料とのブレンドを形成させること、
を含む、木材パルプ繊維を材料と混ぜる方法。 - 前記材料が熱可塑性樹脂である、請求項9の方法。
- 前記材料がセメントである、請求項9の方法。
- 前記材料が熱硬化性樹脂である、請求項9の方法。
- 2つの対向する面と六角形の外周を有し、主軸長が4〜8mm、短軸長が2〜5mm、厚さが0.1mm〜4mmである木材パルプ繊維小片を用意すること、
この小片をフィーダーからミキサーに送り出すこと、
を含む、木材パルプ繊維を材料と混ぜる方法。 - 前記材料が前記繊維よりも高い嵩密度を有する乾燥成分であり、この乾燥成分の嵩密度よりも低い嵩密度を有するブレンドを調製する、請求項13の方法。
- 前記材料が前記繊維よりも低い嵩密度を有する乾燥成分であり、この乾燥成分の嵩密度よりも高い嵩密度を有するブレンドを調製する、請求項13の方法。
- 前記材料が前記繊維よりも低い吸収容量を有する乾燥成分であり、この乾燥成分よりも高い吸収容量を有するブレンドを調製する、請求項13の方法。
- 前記材料が前記繊維よりも高い吸収容量を有する乾燥成分であり、この乾燥成分よりも低い吸収容量を有するブレンドを調製する。請求項13の方法。
- 前記材料が前記繊維よりも低い吸収速度を有する乾燥成分であり、この乾燥成分よりも高い吸収速度を有するブレンドを調製する、請求項13の方法。
