Description
Claims (3)
- ディーゼルエンジン(20)であって、
ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)と該ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)の下流側に配置されたNOx吸着触媒(48)とを有する排気システム(40)と、
プロセッサとマップとを有し前記NOx吸着触媒(48)の脱硫を制御する制御システム(22)と、を備え、
該制御システム(22)が、
a)前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)を出る排気ガスの温度を、前記NOx吸着触媒(48)を脱硫するには低過ぎる温度範囲から前記NOx吸着触媒(48)を脱硫するのに有効な脱硫温度範囲に高めるようにエンジン(20)の作動を特定制御パラメータによって制御する段階と、
b)前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)を出る排気ガスの温度を前記脱硫温度範囲内に維持するよう前記特定制御パラメータによるエンジン制御を継続する段階と、によって前記NOx吸着触媒(48)の脱硫を行う制御システム(22)であり、
前記エンジンは、さらに、
前記エンジンのエンジン速度を示すデータ値を測定するエンジン速度検出手段と、
前記エンジンのエンジン負荷を示すデータ値を測定するエンジン負荷検出手段と、
前記エンジンの実空気燃比を測定する実空燃比測定手段と、
前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)を出る排気ガスの温度を測定する排気ガス温度検出手段と、
EGRシステムと、を備え、
前記特定制御パラメータが、吸気システム(26)を通過する空気流量、主燃料噴射後に行われる後燃料供給量、およびEGR量に関するパラメータであり、
前記制御システム(22)のマップは、前記特定制御パラメータの各々についての第1のデータ値を生成する第1のマップであって、前記第1のデータ値がエンジン速度及びエンジン負荷を示すデータ値に関連付けられている第1のマップを含み、
前記プロセッサは、実エンジン速度を示すデータ値及び実エンジン負荷を示すデータ値に基づいて、前記第1のマップから、前記第1のデータ値を選択し、
前記制御システム(22)のマップは、エンジンの空燃比またはディーゼル酸化触媒(46)を出る排気ガスの温度についての望ましい値に関する第2のデータ値を生成する第2のマップであって、前記第2のデータ値がエンジン速度及びエンジン負荷を示すデータ値に関連付けられている第2のマップを含み、
前記プロセッサは、実エンジン速度を示すデータ値及び実エンジン負荷を示すデータ値に基づいて、前記第2のマップから、前記第2のデータ値を選択し、
前記プロセッサは、前記特定制御パラメータの各々について、前記第2のマップから選択された第2のデータ値と、前記実空燃比測定手段または前記排気ガス温度検出手段によって測定された実データ値とを処理して誤差データ値を生成し、
前記プロセッサは、また、前記第1のデータ値に対して、前記誤差データ値を使用して前記特定制御パラメータの値を算出し、
前記プロセッサは、前記算出された前記特定制御パラメータの値に基づいて前記エンジンの作動を制御することによって、排気ガスの温度を、前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)通過中に上昇させ、前記段階a)およびb)を実行する、
ことを特徴とするエンジン(20)。 - 前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)通過中の排気ガスの温度上昇が、少なくとも摂氏200度である、
請求項1に記載のエンジン(20)。 - 前記制御システム(22)は、前記ディーゼル酸化触媒(46)に入る排気ガスの最大温度を約摂氏450度までに制限するように、エンジン作動の前記特定制御パラメータを制御する、
請求項1または2に記載のエンジン(20)。
