本出願は米国特許出願第11/339,169号の一部継続出願であり、この出願は本明細書に参照によって組み込まれている。
製紙工程の以下位置、すなわち、高濃度原料ライン、リテーナと機械室の出口の間で、基礎おもりバルブ近傍、機械室と基礎おもりバルブの間の開口にアダプタを装着するステップであって、前記アダプタが、前記混合室の前記外と連通しており、前記混合室に固定されているステップと;
前記プロセスの流れが製紙工程を通るように前記製紙工程を稼働させるステップと;
前記第1の導管と前記第2の導管の入口に前記化学物質又は供給液を導入することによって前記化学物質と前記供給液を前記混合室に導入するステップと;
前記化学物質と前記供給液を前記混合室で混合して;前記化学物質と前記供給液の混合物を形成するステップと;
前記プロセスの流れに連通しているアダプタを介して、前記位置の少なくとも一つにおいて、前記プロセスの流れへ前記混合物を分配するステップを特徴とする方法。
Claims (13)
- 一又はそれ以上の化学物質を、製紙工程のプロセスの流れに供給する方法において:
a.一又はそれ以上の入口と出口を有する第1の導管と、一又はそれ以上の入口と出口を有する第2の導管であって、前記第1の導管が前記第2の導管に固定されて前記第2の導管と交差する第2の導管と;一又はそれ以上の入口と出口を有する混合室であって、前記第2の導管が前記混合室に固定されており、前記第1の導管の出口と前記第2の導管の出口が前記混合室と連結している混合室と;を具え、前記第1の導管は、前記第2の導管と交差していないヘッド部分と、前記第2の導管と交差する部分とを具え、前記第2の導管と交差する部分は円錐形であり、前記第1の導管のその部分が前記混合室と連通している一又はそれ以上の装置を提供するステップと;
b.製紙工程における以下の位置:すなわち、高濃度ストックライン、精製機と機械室出口の間、坪量制御弁近傍、及び機械室と坪量制御弁の間、のうちの少なくとも一つにある開口上にアダプタを取りつけるステップであって、前記アダプタが前記混合室の前記出口に連通しており、前記混合室に固定されている、ステップと;
c.前記プロセスの流れが前記製紙工程を通って流れるように前記製紙工程を稼働させるステップと;
d.当該化学物質及び当該供給液のいずれか一方を前記第1の導管の入口に導入し、他方を前記第2の導管の入口に導入することによって、当該化学物質と供給液を前記混合室に導入するステップと;
e.前記化学物質と前記供給液を前記混合室にて混合して、前記化学物質と供給液の混合物を作るステップと;
f.上述の少なくとも一の位置において、前記混合物を、前記プロセスの流れと連通しているアダプタを通して前記プロセスの流れへ投入するステップと;
を具え、
前記プロセスの流れが製紙工程の濃いストックを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質が前記第1の導管もしくは前記第2の導管へ導入される前に希釈されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質と前記供給液が、連続して、同時に、もしくは予めプログラムされている順に導入されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法において、前記化学物質を希釈する希釈液が水であることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記供給液が真水;きれいな濾過液;白水;薄いストック;又はこれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質は、殺生物剤、補強材、光沢剤、染料、充填剤、サイズ剤、歩留り助剤(retention aids)、排水助剤(drainage aids)、凝集剤、洗浄助剤、消泡剤、分散剤、ナノ粒子、微小粒子、定着剤、凝固剤、剥離剤、増量剤、軟化剤、洗浄剤、緩和剤、抗ピッチ剤(anti−pitch agents)、固着防止剤、吸収補助剤、及びこれらの組み合わせから成る群の中から選択されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質は複数であり、前記混合ステップは、前記プロセスの流れへ投入される前に前記複数の化学物質が混合される段階的混合ステップであることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項7に記載の方法において、前記段階的混合ステップが約5マイクロ秒乃至約500ミリ秒続くことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記プロセスの流れが製紙工程の完成紙料を含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質の活性が、前記混合室に導入する前記化学物質と前記供給液の流速を調節することにより制御されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法が更に、前記装置に連通する一又はそれ以上のポンプを提供するステップを具え、当該ポンプが前記化学物質と前記希釈液の流速を制御することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記化学物質の活性は、前記混合室に導入する前記化学物質と前記供給液の流速を前記プロセスの流れに化学物質を導入する前に調節することによって制御されていることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記製紙工程が薄紙の製造工程であることを特徴とする方法。
