Description
TSR∝MOR/(E・α・ΔT)
高度の耐熱衝撃特性は、極めて低い熱膨張係数を得る試みによって、または高温使用時の温度勾配を低下させる方法を通じて一般に求められて来た。しかしながら、十分に高い強度および十分に低い体積弾性率(すなわち高い歪み許容値)を備えた材料を使用することは、用途によっては適当な耐熱衝撃特性を提供することができることを上式から読み取ることができる。
Claims (8)
- 第1のセラミック相と、第2の相とを含む複合セラミック・ハニカム体であって、
前記第2の相は副次的相であり、
該ハニカム体全体の気孔率(%P)は%P≧45%であり、
前記第1のセラミック相が、コージエライトからなるセラミック材料で構成され、
前記第2の相が、コージエライト、金雲母、ムライトおよびチタン酸アルミニウムを含むガラスセラミック相であり、さらに
該ハニカム体の600℃〜1100℃の温度範囲における弾性率の室温における弾性率(E-modRT)に対する比が、1より小さいことを特徴とする複合セラミック・ハニカム体。 - 前記第1のセラミック相が、前記ハニカム体の80〜98重量%を占める主要な相であり、かつ前記第1のセラミック相が、マイクロクラックを含まないことを特徴とする請求項1記載の複合セラミック・ハニカム体。
- 前記第2の相が、前記第1のセラミック相の結晶粒界に配置された副次的ガラス相であり、かつ前記第2の相が、600℃〜1100℃の温度範囲において前記第1のセラミック相に優先して軟化することを特徴とする請求項1記載の複合セラミック・ハニカム体。
- 前記第2の相が、アルカリを含む、および/またはアルカリ土類を含む硼珪酸ガラス、アルミノ珪酸ガラスおよび硼アルミノ珪酸ガラスからなる群から選ばれた珪酸ガラスから形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3記載の複合セラミック・ハニカム体。
- 多孔質ハニカム・セラミック構造であって、
該ハニカム・セラミック構造は、マイクロクラックを含まないコージエライト・マトリクスと、副次的相とを有し、
該ハニカム・セラミック構造全体の気孔率(%P)が45%≦%P≦55%であり、
前記副次的相が、コージエライト、金雲母、ムライトおよびチタン酸アルミニウムを含むガラスセラミック相であり、
該ハニカム・セラミック構造の900℃における弾性率(E-mod900)の室温における弾性率(E-modRT)に対する比(E-mod900/E-modRT)が、1より小さいことを特徴とする多孔性ハニカム・セラミック構造。 - %P≧50%である全体の気孔率(%P)を有することを特徴とする請求項5記載のハニカム・セラミック構造。
- 16.0×10−7/℃未満の室温から800℃までの熱膨張係数(CTE)をさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項5記載のハニカム・セラミック構造。
- 15.0×10−7/℃未満の室温から800℃までの熱膨張係数(CTE)をさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項5記載のハニカム・セラミック構造。
