Claims (17)
- より粗い平均粒径をもつ超硬度研磨剤粒子の第一の分画、及びより微細な平均粒径をもつ超硬度研磨剤粒子の第二の分画を含む研磨剤コンパクトであって、より粗粒の超硬度研磨剤粒子の第一の分画が、前記研磨剤コンパクトの超硬度研磨剤相の20質量%超且つ60質量%未満を含み、より微細粒の超硬度研磨剤粒子の第二の分画全体に非パーコレーティブに分布している、上記研磨剤コンパクト。
- 研磨剤コンパクトが、全体として20μm未満の平均粒径を有する請求項1に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 超硬度研磨剤粒子の第一の分画が、コンパクトの超硬度研磨剤相の約55質量%未満を構成する請求項2に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 超硬度研磨剤粒子の第一の分画が、コンパクトの超硬度研磨剤相の約50質量%を含んでなる請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画の個々の超硬度研磨剤粒子の中心間の平均距離Xが、第一の分画の個々の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒子直径Dを超える請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒径と第二の分画のそれの比率が、2:1を超える請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画と第二の分画の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒径の比率が、3:1を超える請求項6に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画と第二の分画の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒径の比率が、10:1未満である請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画と第二の分画の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒径の比率が、6:1未満である請求項8に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 第一の分画と第二の分画の超硬度研磨剤粒子の平均粒径の比率が、5:1未満である請求項9に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- 前記研磨剤コンパクトが10μm未満の平均粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より粗い及びより微細な超硬度研磨剤粒子が、一般的に50/50の混合物で提供され、より粗い分画の平均粒径が約8.5から10μmであり、かつより微細な分画の平均粒径が約1.0から2.5μmである請求項11に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より粗い分画の平均粒径が、約9.5μmである請求項12に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より微細な分画の平均粒径が、約1.5μmである請求項12又は13に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より粗い及びより微細な超硬度研磨剤粒子が、一般的に50/50の混合物で提供され、より粗い分画の平均粒径が約4から6μmであり、かつより微細な分画の平均粒径が約0.5から1μmである請求項11に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より粗い分画の平均粒径が約4.5μmである請求項12に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
- より微細な分画の平均粒径が約0.7μmである請求項12又は13に記載の研磨剤コンパクト。
