本実施の形態では、透光性を有する基板から歩留まり高く素子形成層を剥離し、可撓性を有する半導体装置を作製する方法について図1を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1と比較して、光触媒層102及び炭素を含む層103の作製工程の異なる形態について図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1及び2において、素子形成層104の構成の代表例を、図5を用いて説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて説明するが、実施の形態2を適用することもできる。本実施の形態では、素子形成層104に、第1の導電層、機能層123、及び第2の導電層で構成される素子126を有する形態について示す。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1及び2において、素子形成層104の構成の代表例を、図7及び8を用いて説明する。図7においては、パッシブマトリクス型液晶表示装置を作製する工程を示し、図8においては、アクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置を作製する工程を示す。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて説明するが、実施の形態2を適用することもできる。本実施の形態では、素子形成層104が、第1の導電層、液晶層、及び第2の導電層で構成される液晶素子を有する形態について示す。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1及び2において、素子形成層104の構成の代表例を、図9及び10を用いて説明する。図9においては、電気泳動素子を有するパッシブマトリクス型電気泳動表示装置を作製する工程を示し、図10においては、電気泳動素子を有するアクティブマトリクス型電気泳動表示装置を作製する工程を示す。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて説明するが、実施の形態2を適用することもできる。電気泳動素子とは、マイクロカプセルの中にプラスとマイナスに帯電した黒と白の粒子を閉じ込めた物を第1の導電層及び第2の導電層の間に配置し、第1の導電層及び第2の導電層に電位差を生じさせて黒と白の粒子を電極間で移動させて表示を行う素子である。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1及び2において、素子形成層104の構成の代表例を、図11を用いて説明する。図11においては、薄膜トランジスタを有する半導体装置を作製する工程を示す。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて説明するが、実施の形態2を適用することもできる。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1及び2において、素子形成層104の構成の代表例を、図12を用いて説明する。図12においては、太陽電池として機能する半導体装置を作製する工程を示す。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて説明するが、実施の形態2を適用することもできる。
Claims (9)
- 透光性を有する基板上に光触媒層を形成し、
前記光触媒層上に炭素を含む層を形成し、
前記炭素を含む層上に素子形成層を形成し、
前記透光性を有する基板側から前記光触媒層に光を照射することにより、前記光触媒層と前記炭素を含む層の界面において、前記透光性を有する基板から前記素子形成層を分離し、
前記炭素を含む層は、炭素を含む無機化合物層または炭素の単体を含む層であることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 透光性を有する基板上に炭素を含む層を形成し、
前記炭素を含む層上に光触媒層を形成し、
前記光触媒層上に素子形成層を形成し、
前記透光性を有する基板側から前記光触媒層に光を照射することにより、前記炭素を含む層と前記光触媒層の界面において、前記透光性を有する基板から前記素子形成層を分離し、
前記炭素を含む層は、炭素を含む無機化合物層または炭素の単体を含む層であることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1において、
前記透光性を有する基板から前記素子形成層を分離した後、前記炭素を含む層の表面に可撓性を有する基板を貼り付けることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項2において、
前記透光性を有する基板から前記素子形成層を分離した後、前記光触媒層の表面に可撓性を有する基板を貼り付けることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項において、
前記光触媒層は、酸化チタン、酸化スズ、酸化タングステン、酸化亜鉛、酸化ビスマス、チタン酸塩、またはニオブ酸塩であることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項において、
前記炭素を含む無機化合物は、ダイヤモンドライクカーボン、または窒化炭素であることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項において、
前記炭素の単体は、グラファイトであることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項において、
前記光触媒層に照射する前記光の波長は、前記光触媒層を活性化させる波長であることを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項において、
前記素子形成層は、薄膜トランジスタ、ダイオード、抵抗、発光素子、液晶素子、または電気泳動素子を有することを特徴とする半導体装置の作製方法。
