Description
本発明は、シリコン含有CMC材料基材上で、限定された数の成分層(component layers)を用い、1300℃を超える温度の腐食性雰囲気において耐久性様式で良好な挙動を呈する、環境バリヤーを形成する方法を提案することを探究する。
図3は、本発明の態様を構成する環境バリヤーを提供された基材10の高度に模式的な図である。
・混合性C-SiCマトリクス(SiCは外側にある);又は、
・SiCのマトリクス相及び硬さの小さいマトリクス相、例えば熱分解性炭素(PyC)、窒化ホウ素(BN)、又はホウ素がドープされた炭素(BC)の、交互の連続したマトリクス、SiCから成るマトリクスの熱的相を有する;又は、
・炭化ホウ素(B4C)又はSi-B-C三元系のマトリクス相を有し、任意に、遊離炭素(B4C+C、Si-B-C+C)及びSi-B-C又はSiCから成る末端相を有する、自己回復マトリクス;
のような、異なる性質を呈する複数の相によって形成されてよい。
CVD型の方法は周知である。塩化アルミニウム及びアンモニアガスを含む反応ガスを使用することができる。しかしながら他の析出方法も想像することができ、特に物理的蒸着(PVD)方法が想像される。
なまし熱処理の後に得られた二つの他の試験小片E2及びE3は、湿気のある雰囲気(45%空気及び65%蒸気)下で、それぞれ500時間(h)、1200℃、及び120h、1400℃曝露することによる、腐食処置に供された。図6及び7は、それぞれ試験小片E2及びE3に関し、それらは、完全な環境バリヤーが、腐食性雰囲気中のそのような温度レベルで良好に維持されたことを示している。
以下に、本願出願の当初の特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。
[1] シリコン含有セラミックマトリクス複合材料の基材上に環境バリヤーを形成する方法であって、該方法は、アルカリ又はアルカリ土類又は希土元素のアルミノケイ酸型の化合物を含有する耐食保護層を形成することを含み、該方法は、窒化アルミニウムの化学的バリヤー形成層が、前記基材と前記耐食保護層の間に挟まれることを特徴とする方法。
[2] 上記1に記載の方法であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層が前記基材上に直接形成され、及び、前記耐食保護層が前記窒化アルミニウム層上に直接形成されることを特徴とする方法。
[3] 上記1又は上記2に記載の方法であって、窒化アルミニウム層が約10μm〜100μmの範囲の厚さを有して形成されることを特徴とする方法。
[4] 上記1〜3の何れか一項に記載の方法であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層が化学的蒸着法によって形成されることを特徴とする方法。
[5] 上記1〜4の何れか一項に記載の方法であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層がプラズマ-増強化学的蒸着法によって形成されることを特徴とする方法。
[6] シリコン含有セラミックマトリクスを有する複合材料基材及び該基材上に形成された環境バリヤーを含み、及び、アルカリ又はアルカリ土類又は希土元素のアルミノケイ酸型化合物を含有する耐食保護層を含む部分(part)であって、該部分は、窒化アルミニウムの層が前記基材と前記耐食保護層の間に挟まれていることを特徴とする部分。
[7] 上記6に記載の部分であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層が前記基材上に直接形成され、前記耐食保護層が前記窒化アルミニウム層上に直接形成されることを特徴とする部分。
[8] 上記6又は上記7に記載の部分であって、前記窒化アルミニウムの層が約10μmから100μmの範囲の厚さであることを特徴とする部分。
[9] 上記6〜8の何れか一項に記載の部分であって、前記複合材料マトリクスの外側の相の少なくとも一つが、炭化ケイ素又はケイ素-ホウ素-炭素の三元系を含むことを特徴とする部分。
[10] 上記6〜9の何れか一項に記載の部分であって、前記耐食保護層が、アルミノケイ酸バリウム及びストロンチウム又はBSASであることを特徴とする部分。
[11] 上記10に記載の部分であって、熱バリヤーを形成する外層が提供されていることを特徴とする部分。
[12] 工業用又は航空用ガスタービンの熱い部分のための構成要素(component)であって、該構成要素は、上記6〜11の何れか一項に記載の部分によって構成されることを特徴とする構成要素。
[13] タービン環を形成している上記12に記載の構成要素であって、アブレーダブル材料(abradable material)の外層を提供されていることを特徴とする構成要素。
Claims (11)
- シリコン含有セラミックマトリクス複合材料の基材上に環境バリヤーを形成する方法であって、該方法は、アルカリ又はアルカリ土類又は希土元素のアルミノケイ酸型の化合物を含有する耐食保護層を形成することを含み、該方法は、窒化アルミニウムの化学的バリヤー形成層が、前記基材と前記耐食保護層の間に挟まれ、前記窒化アルミニウム層が前記基材上に直接形成され、及び、前記耐食保護層が前記窒化アルミニウム層上に直接形成されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、窒化アルミニウム層が約10μm〜100μmの範囲の厚さを有して形成されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1〜2の何れか一項に記載の方法であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層が化学的蒸着法によって形成されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の方法であって、前記窒化アルミニウム層がプラズマ-増強化学的蒸着法によって形成されることを特徴とする方法。
