Description
The present invention relates to a motorcycle capable of effectively cooling an engine with traveling wind.
In a motorcycle equipped with an air-cooled engine, it is necessary to cool the engine effectively by running wind. In particular, a cylinder equipped with a forward-facing air-cooled engine in which the cylinder axis is disposed almost horizontally toward the front (see Patent Document 1) reduces the front projection area of the engine, that is, the area on which the traveling wind hits. It becomes difficult to obtain the required cooling performance.
Therefore, it is conceivable to provide an air guide member that forcibly guides the traveling wind toward the engine. However, adding such a member causes an increase in the number of parts and a complicated structure.
An object of the present invention is to provide a motorcycle capable of effectively cooling an engine with traveling wind without increasing the number of parts.
In order to achieve the above object, in the motorcycle according to the present invention, a forward-facing engine is disposed between a front wheel and a rear wheel, a case body of an air cleaner is disposed above the engine, and a front surface of the case body . A wind guide surface for directing the traveling wind toward at least the cylinder head of the engine is formed, and a lower end portion of the wind guide surface is disposed above the cylinder head of the engine. Here, the “forward-facing engine” means that the cylinder axis extends from the engine rotation axis extending in the left-right direction to the front in the horizontal direction ± 45 ° or less, preferably ± 30 ° or less, more preferably ± 15 °. It means extending at the following angles.
According to this motorcycle, the wind is guided to the cylinder head of the lower engine while guiding the running wind by the wind guide surface formed in the case body of the air cleaner arranged above the engine , and the engine is cooled by the running wind. Therefore, since the air guide surface is only formed on the case body of the existing air cleaner , the engine cooling effect can be increased without increasing the number of parts. In addition, since the case of the air cleaner can be shaped to have a relatively wide outer wall surface, a wide air guide surface can be easily formed on the front surface of the case. Furthermore, if the engine is directed forward, a large space is created above the head of the engine. By arranging the case body having the air guide surface in this large space, a forward-facing engine with a small front projection area can be obtained. Driving wind can be effectively guided.
In the present invention, the wind guide surface is inclined rearward as it proceeds from the upper part to the lower part, and the left and right central part of the wind guide surface is substantially coincident with the cylinder axis of the engine in front view. preferable. According to this configuration, the traveling wind that has passed through the vicinity of the central portion in the left-right direction of the air guide surface can be guided to the vicinity of the central portion in the left-right direction of the engine.
In the present invention, a lower cowling that covers at least the lower side of the engine is provided, and a guide surface that guides traveling wind toward the engine is formed on the lower cowling, and the guide surface is positioned below and forward of the cylinder head. The guide surface is preferably formed in a concave shape that inclines upward as it advances from the front end portion to the rear end portion thereof, and both side portions protrude upward from the central portion in the left-right direction of the vehicle body. Thus, the traveling wind smoothly reaches the wind guide surface without being blocked by the main frame. The lower guide surface allows the lower part of the engine to be effectively cooled by the running wind guided by the guide surface, and the running wind from the air guide surface of the case body to the lower engine blows down to the lower side of the engine. Therefore, the upper part and the side part of the engine can be effectively cooled. Furthermore, the guide surface is formed in a concave shape, so that the travel wind guided from the air guide surface to the guide surface is prevented from leaking in the left-right direction, and this travel wind can be guided rearward along the engine. it can.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the air guide surface is formed by a curved surface in which a central portion in the left-right direction of the vehicle body recedes from both sides. Accordingly, the traveling wind is prevented from escaping from the wind guide surface in the left-right direction, and can be effectively guided by the wind guide surface.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the main frame is inclined rearward and downward from the head pipe, and the air guide surface is located below the main frame. Thus, the traveling wind smoothly reaches the wind guide surface without being blocked by the main frame.
In the present invention, at least a part of the air guide surface faces a space between the left and right tubes of the front fork in a front view, and the horizontal cross-sectional shape of the front fork is tapered forward or rearward. A rectifying unit is preferably provided. In general, since the front fork has a circular cross-sectional shape, the traveling wind is separated from the surface of the front fork and forms a backflow region near the rear of the front fork. Less. On the other hand, according to the above configuration, since the backflow due to the separation of the traveling wind is suppressed by the tapered rectifying unit, the amount of the traveling wind that hits the wind guide surface through the space between the left and right tubes of the front fork. As a result, the amount of traveling wind that is guided to the wind guide surface and guided to the engine also increases, and the cooling effect of the engine is further increased.
In the present invention, at least a part of the air guide surface faces a space between the left and right tubes of the front fork in a front view, and projects upward in a front fender that covers at least the upper part of the front wheel. It is preferable that a pair of left and right traveling wind regulating protrusions are formed. As a result, the traveling wind passing over the front fender is guided to the wind guide surface through the space between the left and right tubes of the front fork while being guided to pass between the pair of left and right traveling wind regulating projections. It is burned.
In the present invention, a fork guard that protects the connecting portion is disposed in front of the connecting portion between the inner tube and the outer tube of the front fork that supports the front wheel, and the horizontal cross-sectional shape of the fork guard is tapered forward. The front fender that covers at least the upper part of the front wheel is formed with a pair of left and right traveling wind regulating protrusions that are located in front of the pair of left and right fork guards and project upward and extend in the front-rear direction. It is preferable. As a result, the traveling wind passing above the front fender is guided between the pair of left and right fork guards and guided between the pair of left and right fork guards, and then the backflow is generated by the rectifying sections of both fork guards. Since the traveling wind is effectively guided from the front fender to the wind guiding surface, the amount of the traveling wind reaching the wind guiding surface, that is, the traveling wind guided to the engine is reduced. The air volume is further increased, and the cooling performance of the engine is improved. In addition, since the existing front fender and fork guard are each changed to a shape having a pair of left and right traveling wind restricting protrusions and a rectifying portion, an increase in the number of parts can be prevented.
In the present invention, it is preferable to dispose a fuel supply device behind the case. As a result, even if a strong running wind hits the air cleaner, the running wind is prevented from directly hitting the fuel supply device behind the air cleaner, so the fuel supply is caused by unstable pressure fluctuations caused by the collision with the running wind. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of defects.
According to the motorcycle of the present invention, a wind guide surface is formed on the case body of the air cleaner disposed above the engine, and the traveling wind is directed to the lower engine by the wind guide surface. Therefore, the case body in the existing air cleaner Therefore, the engine cooling effect can be increased without increasing the number of parts.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a side view showing a moped motorcycle according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, a head pipe 2 is attached to a front end portion of a main frame 1 that is rearwardly lowered constituting the front half of a vehicle body frame FR, and a steering shaft (not shown) that is rotatably inserted into the head pipe 2 is provided. The upper bracket 4 and the

The vehicle body frame FR also includes a
In FIG. 2 showing a front perspective view of the motorcycle, a
As shown in FIG. 3, which is a front view of the motorcycle, the
FIGS. 4A to 4D are a plan view, a front view, a right side view, and a rear view showing the
Further, as shown in FIG. 4B, the
As shown in FIG. 4 (d), an
As shown in FIG. 4C, the
As shown in FIG. 4B, the
As is clear from FIG. 1, the entire
The
FIGS. 5A to 5C are a plan view, a front view, and a left side view showing the
The operation of the rectifying
On the other hand, the rectifying
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the
As shown by arrows in FIG. 1, the traveling wind A that has passed between the left and right
Further, as described above, the traveling wind A passing above the
The
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 4D, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 4B, the
In addition, in this embodiment, the
The present invention can be modified in various ways other than the above embodiment. For example, although the
Further, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 6B, a rectifying body that is integral with or separate from the
Further, in the
The present invention is not limited to the moped type as in the above embodiment, and can be applied to other various types of motorcycles such as a sports type and a cruiser type. Moreover, although this invention is used suitably for the air cooling engine E, it is applicable also to a water cooling engine. The engine E is not limited to the forward direction, and may be a normal engine in which the cylinder shaft faces forward and obliquely upward.
Furthermore, various additions, modifications, or deletions can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention, and such modifications are also included in the scope of the present invention.
