Description
前記金属管の回りに配置された乾燥繊維の層、および前記乾燥繊維の層を覆う外部ライナーを備える強化管材に関する。1実施形態では、前記乾燥繊維の層は前記金属管のフープ強度を増加する。他の実施形態では、前記金属管は、降伏強度が約70,000psi(483MPa)(X70級)以下である従来の鋼管、または最小降伏強度が70,000psi(483MPa)より大きい高強度の鋼管を備える。前記金属管は耐腐食性合金を含みうる。1実施形態では、前記金属管は、使用中に発生する可能性のある亀裂を停止する。前記金属管は裸管、または被覆管を含みうる。その際、前記金属管は、有機皮膜、または陽極金属皮膜によって予備被覆されうる。他の実施形態では、アルミニウム陽極片が前記金属管上に巻かれて、または前記乾燥繊維の層にpHスパイク塩が添加されて、前記金属管が防食される。別の実施形態では、前記金属管が劣化した管を備える。
以下の説明および請求項を通じて、特定のアセンブリ部品を示すために、特定の用語を用いる。本書では、名称は異なっていても機能に差がない部品同士を差別化する意図はない。以下の説明および請求項において、用語「備える」および「含む」はオープンエンド型として用いられ、従って、「を含むがこれに限定されることはない」と解釈されるべきである。
乾燥繊維被覆管の様々な実施形態について添付の図面を参照して説明する。複数の図面において、同様の特徴を参照する場合には同様の参照番号が用いられる。なお、乾燥繊維被覆管の特定の実施形態を、図に示し、以下に詳細に説明するが、これらは代表例として開示するにすぎず、本発明をここに図示および説明した実施形態に限定するものではない。ここに開示する乾燥繊維被覆管およびその製造方法の実施形態は、多くの金属管ラインシステムにおいて用いることができ、高圧の気体であるか液体であるかにかかわらず、その圧力定格で制限される。各タイプの加圧流体システムにおいて、様々な実施形態の乾燥繊維被覆管を用いうることは、当業者であれば、容易に理解するであろう。更に、ここで開示される方法は、例えば、パイプライン、ライザ、チョークおよびキルライン、または他の高圧システムの部品でありうる、既に設置された管で、腐食、浸食、および/または摩耗により劣化した管の圧力定格を向上させるために用いることができる。

従って、金属管110の壁厚が、軸方向応力(σa)要件を満たすように選択されると、その金属管110はフープ応力(σs)要件の半分に耐えられるだけに過ぎない。
Claims (6)
- 金属管の上に乾燥繊維の層を被覆する工程、
前記乾燥繊維の層を外部ライナーで覆い、製作時に樹脂の適用もそれに続く硬化もなく、第1の乾燥繊維被覆金属管を形成する工程、
第2の乾燥繊維被覆金属管を前記第1の乾燥繊維被覆金属管に隣接して配置する工程、
前記第2の乾燥繊維被覆金属管を前記第1の乾燥繊維被覆金属管に溶接により連結する工程、
前記溶接を乾燥繊維の層で被覆する工程、および
前記溶接の回りに配置された前記乾燥繊維の層の上に外部ライナーを生成し、それによって、乾燥繊維被覆溶接区域を形成する工程
を含む、強化管材の製造方法。 - 前記乾燥繊維の層の被覆工程は、前記金属管の回りに複数の乾燥繊維をフープ巻きする工程を含む請求項1に記載の強化管材の製造方法。
- 前記乾燥繊維を外部ライナーで覆う工程は、皮膜を吹付る工程を含む請求項1または2に記載の強化管材の製造方法。
- 前記乾燥繊維を外部ライナーで覆う工程は、ライナーを巻付ける工程を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の強化管材の製造方法。
- さらに、前記乾燥繊維の層の上に絶縁材料の層を巻付ける工程を含む請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の強化管材の製造方法。
- 前記第1および第2の乾燥繊維被覆金属管は、製造施設において形成され、前記乾燥繊維被覆溶接区域は、現場で形成される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の強化管材の製造方法。
