Claims (11)
- 高出力、大容量の、バッテリーパックであって、

前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールの作動を検出及び制御するためのバッテリー管理装置(BMS)と、及び
電源スイッチ装置を備えてなり、
前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールが、
互いに直列接続されてなる複数のバッテリーセル又は単位モジュールを備えてなり、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールが、互いに緊密に接触した状態で、又は互いに隣接した状態で積み重ねられてなり、
前記バッテリーモジュールが固定されて、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの充電時及び放電の際に、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの体積が変化した場合、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの前記積み重ね状態が維持されてなり、
前記バッテリーセル間又は前記単位モジュール間の電極端子接続区域の一部が、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの体積膨脹に対して脆弱であり、前記バッテリーセルの膨潤により引き起こされる膨脹応力が前記電極端子接続区域上に集中し、それによって、前記膨潤が予め決められた値を超えた時に、前記電極端子接続区域が破損し、前記電極端子接続区域で電気的遮断が起こるものであり、
前記電源スイッチ装置が、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、外部の入力及び出力回路との間に配置されてなり、かつ、前記BMSから来る作動指令に従って、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、前記外部の入力及び出力回路とを互いに接続し、或いは、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、前記外部の入力及び出力回路とを相互から分離するものであり、
前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと前記電源スイッチ装置との間の接続が、異常作動状態では、前記BMSから独立して遮断されるものである、バッテリーパック。 - 高出力、大容量の、バッテリーモジュールであって、
前記バッテリーモジュールが、
互いに直列接続されてなる複数のバッテリーセル又は単位モジュールを備えてなり、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールが、互いに緊密に接触した状態で、又は互いに隣接した状態で積み重ねられてなり、
前記バッテリーモジュールが固定されて、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの充電時及び放電の際に、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの体積が変化した場合、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの前記積み重ね状態が維持されてなり、
前記バッテリーセル間又は前記単位モジュール間の電極端子接続区域の一部が、前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールの体積膨脹に対して脆弱であり、前記バッテリーセルの膨潤により引き起こされる膨脹応力が前記電極端子接続区域上に集中し、それによって、前記膨潤が予め決められた値を超えた時に、前記電極端子接続区域が破損し、前記電極端子接続区域で電気的遮断が起こるものであり、
前記バッテリーセル又は前記単位モジュールがケースにより覆われてなり、
部分的な開口部又はノッチ部が前記電極端子接続区域に対応する前記ケースの予め決められた区域に形成され、前記バッテリーセルの膨潤が過剰になった時に破損する、バッテリーモジュール。 - 前記単位モジュールの各々が、バッテリーセルと、一対の高強度セルカバーとを包含してなり、
前記バッテリーセルが、互いに直列に接続された電極端子を有してなり、前記電極端子間の接続部分が屈曲して積み重ねられた構造で構築されてなるものであり、
前記一対の高強度セルカバーが、前記電極端子を除いた前記バッテリーセルの外側表面を覆うように互いに連結されてなるものであり、
前記バッテリーセルが膨潤した時に前記バッテリーセルの局所的な変形を誘発する形状に構築されたカットアウト部分又はノッチ部分が、前記電極端子接続区域に隣接する、前記セルカバーの少なくとも一方の予め決められた区域に形成されてなる、請求項2に記載のバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記カットアウト部分又はノッチ部分が、最も外側にある単位モジュールのセルカバーに形成される、請求項3に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記カットアウト部分又は前記ノッチ部分のサイズが、前記バッテリーセルの膨潤により、前記バッテリーセルの体積増加が各バッテリーセルの厚さの1.5〜5倍に等しくなった時に前記電極端子接続区域が破損するように設定される、請求項3に記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 中型又は大型バッテリーパックであって、
少なくとも一個の、請求項2に記載のバッテリーモジュールと、
前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールの作動を検出及び制御するためのバッテリー管理装置(BMS)と、及び
電源スイッチ装置を備えてなり、
前記電源スイッチ装置が、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、外部の入力及び出力回路との間に配置されてなり、かつ、前記BMSから来る作動指令に従って、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、前記外部の入力及び出力回路とを互いに接続し、或いは、前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと、前記外部の入力及び出力回路とを相互から分離するものであり、
前記少なくとも一個のバッテリーモジュールと前記電源スイッチ装置との間の接続が、異常作動状態では、前記BMSから独立して遮断されるものである、中型又は大型バッテリーパック。 - 複数のバッテリーモジュールがフレーム部材により固定されてなり、
最も外側にあるバッテリーモジュールが、前記フレーム部材に固定された密封部材により覆われてなり、
前記バッテリーモジュールが膨潤した時に前記バッテリーモジュールの局所的な変形を誘発する形状に構築されたカットアウト部分又はノッチ部分が、電極端子接続区域に隣接する、前記密封部材における予め決められた区域に形成される、請求項1又は6に記載のバッテリーパック。 - 前記密封部材が断熱性材料から製造されてなる、請求項7に記載のバッテリーパック。

前記複数のフレームが、各フレームが前記六面体積重構造の12縁部の対応する1個を固定するか、或いは、各フレームが、同じ平面上で前記六面体積重構造の少なくとも4縁部を固定するように、互いに一体的に連結されてなる、請求項9に記載のバッテリーパック。 - 電源として、請求項1又は6に記載のバッテリーパックを包含してなる、電気自動車又はハイブリッド電気自動車。
