Description
Claims (21)
- 第1の複数のメディアストリームをメディアサーバから第2の複数の表示装置へ同時に送信する送信方法であって、メディアサーバによって実行されるステップが、
前記メディアサーバから前記各表示装置へ送信される、前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットの送信時間である、前記メディアサーバから前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットが送出開始してから前記各表示装置が前記メディアユニットを受信終了するまでにかかる時間を予測するステップと、
前記各メディアユニットの実送信時間を測定するステップと、
前記メディアユニットのいずれかの前記実送信時間が、前記メディアユニットの予測された送信時間より少なくとも所定の範囲を超える場合、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームから1つのメディアストリームを犠牲ストリームとして選択するステップと、
前記犠牲ストリーム内の送信されるデータ量を減少させることにより、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームの送信に使用される帯域幅を減少させるステップと、
を有する送信方法。 - 前記犠牲ストリームのデータの精度を落とすことにより、前記犠牲ストリーム内の送信されるデータ量を減少させるステップを有する請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記犠牲ストリームのデータの解像度を落とすことにより、前記犠牲ストリーム内の送信されるデータ量を減少させるステップを有する請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記メディアサーバでマルチメディアデータを受信するステップと、前記受信したマルチメディアデータを圧縮し、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームを生成するステップとを有する請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記第1の複数のメディアストリームをメディアサーバから第2の複数の表示装置へ送信することは、共通の媒体を介して前記第1の複数のメディアストリームを送信することを含む請求項4に記載された送信方法。
- 前記メディアストリームがリアルタイムに表示されるレベルに、前記メディアストリームのメディアユニットに対する前記所定の閾値を設定するステップを有する請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記第1の複数のメディアストリームに含まれるメディアストリームと、第2の複数の表示装置の表示装置とが、一対一に対応している請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記第1の複数のメディアストリームに含まれるメディアストリームが、第2の複数の表示装置の表示装置より少なく、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームの少なくとも1つのメディアストリームが、第2の複数の表示装置の2以上の表示装置により共有されている請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- 前記メディアサーバで受信されるマルチメディアデータは、ビデオデータと、グラフィックデータと、デジタルデータと、アナログデータの少なくとも1つである請求項4に記載された送信方法。
- 前記メディアサーバで受信されるマルチメディアデータは、複数のソースからのデータである請求項4に記載された送信方法。
- 前記共通の媒体は、固定帯域幅を有する請求項5に記載された送信方法。
- 前記固定帯域幅は、前記共通の媒体の最大帯域幅である請求項11に記載された送信方法。
- 前記固定帯域幅は、前記共通の媒体の利用可能な帯域幅の所定の部分である請求項11に記載された送信方法。
- 前記固定帯域幅は、前記圧縮を実行する処理装置の最大帯域幅である請求項11に記載された送信方法。
- 所定の選択方法を用いて前記犠牲ストリームを選択するステップを有する請求項1に記載された送信方法。
- ラウンドロビン法を用いて前記犠牲ストリームを選択するステップを有する請求項15に記載された送信方法。
- 1以上の前記メディアストリームで送信されたデータ量に基づいて前記犠牲ストリームを選択するステップを有する請求項15に記載された送信方法。
- 1以上の前記メディアストリームの所定の優先順位付けに基づいて前記犠牲ストリームを選択するステップを有する請求項15に記載された送信方法。
- 1以上の前記メディアストリームの前回の圧縮に基づいて前記犠牲ストリームを選択するステップを有する請求項15に記載された送信方法。
- 第1の複数のメディアストリームをメディアサーバから第2の複数の表示装置へ同時に送信する送信システムであって、
データプロセッサと、
前記データプロセッサと接続された記憶装置と、
前記記憶装置に記憶され、前記データプロセッサにより実行されるプログラムであって、前記プログラムは、前記データプロセッサに、
前記メディアサーバから前記各表示装置へ送信される、前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットの送信時間である、前記メディアサーバから前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットが送出開始してから前記各表示装置が前記メディアユニットを受信終了するまでにかかる時間を予測させ、
前記各メディアユニットの実送信時間を測定させ、
前記メディアユニットのいずれかの前記実送信時間が、前記メディアユニットの予測された送信時間より少なくとも所定の範囲を超える場合、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームから1つのメディアストリームを犠牲ストリームとして選択させ、
前記犠牲ストリーム内の送信されるデータ量を減少させることにより、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームの送信に使用される帯域幅を減少させる
命令を含む、
送信システム。 - 第1の複数のメディアストリームをメディアサーバから第2の複数の表示装置へ同時に送信する送信システムのデータプロセッサに、
前記メディアサーバから前記各表示装置へ送信される、前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットの送信時間である、前記メディアサーバから前記各メディアストリームのメディアユニットが送出開始してから前記各表示装置が前記メディアユニットを受信終了するまでにかかる時間を予測させ、
前記各メディアユニットの実送信時間を測定させ、
前記メディアユニットのいずれかの前記実送信時間が、前記メディアユニットの予測された送信時間より少なくとも所定の範囲を超える場合、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームから1つのメディアストリームを犠牲ストリームとして選択させ、
前記犠牲ストリーム内の送信されるデータ量を減少させることにより、前記第1の複数のメディアストリームの送信に使用される帯域幅を減少させる、
手順を実行させるためのプログラム。
