Description
Claims (19)
- 未硬化樹脂でコーティングされた、単一又は束のファイバからなるファイバユニットを粒子状物質でコーティングする装置であって、該装置はファイバユニットのための通路と、この通路の中へ粒子状物質とガスとの混合体を受け入れる入口とを含み、
粒子状物質とガスとの混合体の流れがこの入口から前記通路に入ると、該混合体は使用時にファイバユニットの長手軸に関してほぼ平行に導かれ、該入口は、該混合体が前記通路に入る領域で、該混合体をその中へ受け入れるように前記通路を取り囲み、かつ全域にわたって前記通路へ開口している空洞の形態を有しているとともに、前記空洞の上へほぼ半径方向に開口している2つの入口導管を含み、前記空洞又は前記入口導管は、粒子状物質とガスとの混合体が入る方向に前記通路へ傾斜している、装置。 - 前記空洞は円筒状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記空洞の外壁は円錐台状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記入口導管は半径位置からずれている、請求項1乃至3に記載の装置。
- 前記入口を通る粒子状物質とガスとの混合体の供給速度は調整することができる、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- コーティングチャンバの中に画定された通路に未硬化樹脂でコーティングされた、単一又は束のファイバからなるファイバユニットを供給する工程と、この通路の中に入口から粒子状物質とガスとの混合体を供給する工程とを含み、
該入口は、該混合体が前記通路に入る領域で、該混合体をその中へ受け入れるように前記通路を取り囲み、かつ全域にわたって前記通路へ開口している空洞の形態を有しているとともに、前記空洞の上へほぼ半径方向に開口している2つの入口導管を含み、前記空洞又は前記入口導管は、粒子状物質とガスとの混合体が前記通路に入る方向に前記通路へ傾斜しており、
使用時に、粒子状物質とガスとの混合体の流れが前記入口から前記通路に入ると、混合体の流れはファイバユニットの長手軸に関してほぼ平行に導かれる、
ファイバユニットを粒子状物質でコーティングする方法。 - 前記空洞は円筒状である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記空洞の外壁は円錐台状である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記入口導管は半径位置からずれている、請求項6乃至8に記載の方法。
- 前記入口を通る粒子状物質とガスとの混合体の供給速度は調整することができる、請求項6乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記通路は前記通路の中央長さ部分を有し、前記通路の端部において粒子状物質の移動を偏倚させるためのガス流をもたらすために作動することができ、それによって粒子状物質が前記通路の端部で渋滞するのを実質的に防止する排除手段を更に含む、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記排除手段は、減少した断面積を有している前記通路の長さ部分の中への加圧ガス入口を含む、排除手段の物理的特性が、より大きい容積のガス流を前記入口から前記通路の中央領域へ向けて導くようなものである、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記物理的特性は、より大きい断面積が前記入口から前記通路の中央部分へ向かって通り抜ける空気流によって実現されるように、通路の前記長さ部分に沿って差のある断面積をもたらすことを含む、請求項12に記載の装置。
- 前記物理的特性は、前記入口から前記通路の中央部分へ向かって通り抜ける空気流によって、通路の前記長さ部分のより長い一部分が実現されるように、ガス入口を配置することを含む、請求項12または請求項13に記載の装置。
- 排除手段からのガスの噴流が前記通路の中央部分の中へ実質的に導かれる、請求項12乃至請求項14のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記通路の両方端部において排除手段を含み、ガスの噴流が反対方向へ、共に実質的に前記通路の中央部分の中へ導かれる、請求項12乃至請求項15のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- チャンバへ振動を供給するための手段を更に含む、請求項12乃至請求項16のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記振動は前記チャンバの局限部分へ施される、請求項17に記載の装置。
- 粒子状物質が前記通路の端部を通して漏れるのを実質的に防止するために、ファイバユニット通路の中において粒子状物質の移動を偏倚させるためのガス流をもたらす工程を含む請求項6乃至請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
