Description
例えば、屈折率を1.523であるとすると、図1(a)に示す第6カーブの曲率半径R1=R2は(1.523−1)*1000/6=87.17mm、第8カーブの曲率半径R3は(1.523−1)*1000/8=65.375mmである。メガネ度数は、カーブ番号の差で特定されるので、図1(a)の二重焦点レンズは、メガネ度数0.00の本体レンズ部と、メガネ度数+2.00の老眼レンズ部を有していることになる。
<基本的な設計>
そこで、先ず、図3〜図4に基づいて、老眼レンズ部1Bの光学中心を、管理点PTに設定する簡易的な設計手法から説明する。なお、図3〜図4では、説明の都合上、本体レンズ部1Aの曲率中心Oと、管理点PTを結ぶ半径線をZ軸としている(図3(b)参照)。また、Z軸から見て、第1端点Aと第3端点Cとの接続線(上辺)と平行にX軸を設定し、このX軸に直交してY軸を設定している(図3(c)参照)。
<現実的な設計>
図4〜図6は、他の設計法を説明する図面である。この場合には、先ず、第1端点Aと第2端点Bとを結ぶ球面上の最短曲線の中点を、仮の管理点PT’とする。そして、以下、説明の都合上、本体レンズ部1Aの曲率中心Oと、仮の管理点PT’を結ぶ半径線をZ軸とする(図5参照)。また、説明の都合上、第1端点Aと第2端点Bとを結ぶ直線に平行してX軸をとり、X軸に直交してY軸をとる(図6参照)。

Claims (2)
- 屈折率が均一な単一材料で構成され、遠くを見るときに使用される本体レンズ部の一部に、近くを見るときに使用される老眼レンズ部を設けたメガネ用の二重焦点レンズであって、
前記老眼レンズ部は、メガネ使用状態では、略水平となる上辺と、前記上辺に連続して耳に向けて広がる耳側の側辺と、メガネ下方の周縁形状に一致する下辺とで、全体として略矩形状に形成され、
前記本体レンズ部は、第一曲率半径で形成される視界側の平坦な外球面と、第二曲率半径で形成された瞳孔側の内球面とで構成され、老眼レンズ部が瞳孔側の内球面に凹状又は凸状に形成されることで、前記上辺と前記側辺とで形成される直線状の境界ラインが、使用者に認識される一方で、前記境界ラインが平坦な外球面のために他人からは目に付かないよう構成され、
レンズの光学中心から耳側に離間し、且つ、光学中心から垂直下方に4.0〜7.0mm離間する仮想交点で、前記側辺と前記上辺とが仮想的に交わり、前記側辺は、前記仮想交点から、耳に向けて14〜18°の角度で直線状に広がっている
ことを特徴とするメガネ用二重焦点レンズ。 - 請求項1に記載の二重焦点レンズを使用した遠近両用メガネ。
