Description
喫煙の動作は、心肺機能の特徴的パターン、携帯型モニタリング・データをもたらす。本発明は、これらの特徴的パターンを認識しかつ数量化するシステム、および、コンピュータ実装型の方法を提供する。これらの方法は、図1乃至4を参照して述べる。それは、例示的な喫煙パターンを示す。好適な携帯型モニタリング装置およびデータ解析システムを、続いて述べる。
上述した喫煙行動およびタバコのふかし方の形態的手法によって解析されたデータを収集する、好適な携帯型モニタリングおよびデータ解析システムについて、述べる。生理学的データは、例えば、病院での使用、医院での使用、携帯型使用、もしくはその他の使用などのために、種々様々のモニタリング・システムによって収集することができる。しかしながら、制限または偏見なしに、以下の記載は、主として携帯型使用のための好適なモニタリング・システムに関するものである。
本発明の喫煙解析法は、1つ以上の携帯型モニタリング装置からデータを受信するサーバー・システム上で実行されるのが好ましいソフトウェア・プログラムとして、実装される。例えば、図6Aを参照すると、これらのソフトウェア・プログラムは、PDU 131を介して、モニタリング衣服125のから受信した入力データを有するサーバー・システム121上で、実行することができる。
Claims (13)
- 被験者の喫煙行動を特徴付けるシステムを動作する方法であって、前記システムは、携帯型モニタリング装置からデータを受信して処理するコンピュータを含み、前記方法は、
一回換気量(Vt)を反映するデータを含む携帯型モニタリング・データを前記携帯型モニタリング装置から前記コンピュータが受信するステップと、
1つ以上の、タバコのふかしを示す特徴を有する呼吸であるタバコのふかしの候補に対して、受信したVtデータを前記コンピュータが検索するステップと、
認識されたタバコのふかしを示す特徴の数およびタイプに基づいて、タバコのふかしの候補が実際のタバコのふかしであるか否かを、前記コンピュータが判定するステップであって、前記ふかしの候補が、隣接した呼吸の持続時間より1.5倍乃至2.0倍長い持続時間を有し、且つ隣接した呼吸の振幅より1.5倍乃至2.0倍大きい振幅を有するか否かを、前記コンピュータが判定するステップと、
発生データの回数を含むタバコのふかし発生データ及びタバコのふかしの特徴データを前記コンピュータが記憶するステップと、を含む方法。 - 前記タバコのふかしを示す特徴が、吸気の持続時間および/または流量および/または容量、もしくは呼気の持続時間および/または流量および/または容量、もしくは、呼気と後続する吸気との間の持続時間、のうち1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンピュータによる実際のタバコのふかしの判定が、タバコのふかし判定の信憑性がないことを根拠とするに十分な活動期間の間に一時中断される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記記憶されたタバコのふかし発生データに依存して前記被験者の全体的な喫煙行動を前記コンピュータが特徴付けるステップをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 形態的特性に対して少なくとも1つの実際のたばこのふかしを前記コンピュータが検索するステップと、
タバコのふかし方の形態的データを前記コンピュータが記憶するステップと、
前記タバコのふかしの形態的データに基づいて、前記被験者のタバコのふかしおよび喫煙の仕方を前記コンピュータが特徴付けるステップと、をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。 - タバコのふかしの形態的特性が、吸気の持続時間および/または流量および/または容量、もしくは呼気の持続時間および/または流量および/または容量、もしくは、呼気と後続する吸気との期間の持続時間、のうち1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 被験者の喫煙行動を特徴付けるシステムを動作する方法であって、前記システムは、携帯型モニタリング装置からデータを受信して処理するコンピュータを含み、前記方法は、
一回換気量(Vt)を反映するデータを含む携帯型モニタリング・データを前記携帯型モニタリング装置から前記コンピュータが受信するステップと、
1つ以上の、タバコのふかしを示す特徴を有する呼吸であるタバコのふかし候補に対して、受信したVtデータを前記コンピュータが検索するステップと、
タバコのふかし候補が、認識されたタバコのふかしを示す特徴についての数およびタイプに基づいて実際のタバコのふかしであるか否かを前記コンピュータが判定するステップであって、前記ふかしの候補が、隣接した呼吸の持続時間より1.5倍乃至2.0倍長い持続時間を有し、且つ隣接した呼吸の振幅より1.5倍乃至2.0倍大きい振幅を有するか否かを、前記コンピュータが判定するステップと、
発生データの回数を含む、タバコのふかし発生データと、タバコのふかしの特徴データを前記コンピュータが記憶するステップと、
形態的特性に対して少なくとも1つの実際のタバコのふかしを前記コンピュータが検索するステップと、
タバコのふかしの形態的データを前記コンピュータが記憶するステップと、
前記記憶されたタバコのふかし発生データおよび前記記憶されたふかしの形態的データに基づいて、被験者の全体的な喫煙行動および前記被験者のタバコのふかし行動を前記コンピュータが特徴付けるするステップと、を含む方法。 - その他の生理学的システムの機能についての指標を用いて、前記被験者の全体的な喫煙行動および前記被験者のタバコのふかし行動を前記コンピュータが関連付けるステップをさらに備える、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記記憶されたタバコのふかし発生データおよび前記記憶されたタバコのふかしの形態的データのうち少なくとも一部に基づいて、可能性のある喫煙関連の病気についての前記可能性および重症度を前記コンピュータが評価するステップをさらに備える、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記記憶されたタバコのふかし発生データおよび前記タバコのふかしの形態的データのうち少なくとも一部に基づいて、前記被験者にバイオフィードバックを前記コンピュータが提供するステップをさらに備える、請求項7に記載の方法。
- Vtを反映するデータを含む生理学的モニタリング・データを提供する携帯型モニタリング装置と、
前記携帯型モニタリング装置に動作可能なように接続され、かつ請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載の方法を実行するためのエンコードされた命令を備えるコンピュータ読み取り可能メモリを含むコンピュータとを備える、システム。 - 請求項5の方法をさらに実行するために前記エンコードされた命令を含む、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記コンピュータは、複数の携帯型モニタリング装置に動作可能なように接続されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のシステム。
