Claims (10)
- データを記憶する磁気ディスクと、前記データの書き込み及び読み出しを行う磁気ヘッドと、前記磁気ヘッドを前記磁気ディスクに対して相対的に移動させるアクチュエータと、が密閉された筐体内に収納された磁気ディスク装置の製造方法であって、
前記筐体には、該筐体の内部と外部とを連通させるガス注入口およびガス排出口が形成され、前記ガス注入口および前記ガス排出口のそれぞれにはフィルタが配設されており、
前記ガス注入口に空気よりも密度が低い低密度気体を供給し、前記密閉された筐体内に該低密度気体を充填する際に、
前記ガス注入口に供給される前記低密度気体の流量及び圧力を検出し、
検出された前記低密度気体の流量及び圧力に基づき、前記ガス注入口に供給される前記低密度気体の流量を制御し、
前記筐体内に前記低密度気体を注入した後、前記ガス注入口及び前記ガス排出口を閉塞し、
前記ガス注入口及び前記ガス排出口を閉塞した後、前記筐体内に収納されている前記磁気ヘッドおよび前記アクチュエータを制御して、前記磁気ディスクにサーボデータを書き込み、
前記ガス注入口に前記低密度気体を注入する間、前記筐体内の前記低密度気体の濃度に応じて変化する指標に基づいて、前記筐体内の前記低密度気体の濃度を評価する、
磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記密閉された筐体内の気圧が、前記密閉された筐体外の気圧よりも高くなるように、前記ガス注入口に供給される前記低密度気体の流量を制御する、
請求項2に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記低密度気体を共通の供給源から複数の前記筐体に分配して供給し、
前記複数の筐体に供給される前記低密度気体の総流量を検出し、
前記複数の筐体の個数に応じて、前記複数の筐体に供給される前記低密度気体の総流量を一括して制御する、
請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記低密度気体の供給中に前記複数の筐体の個数が変化した場合、当該複数の筐体に供給すべき前記低密度気体の総流量に対し、実際の総流量を徐々に近づける、
請求項4に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記指標は、前記磁気ディスクを回転させるモータに対して出力する駆動電流の大きさである、
請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記密閉された筐体内に前記低密度気体を充填するときの前記駆動電流の時間変化率が、前記密閉された筐体内の温度が変化するときの前記駆動電流の時間変化率よりも大きくなるように、前記密閉された筐体内に前記低密度気体を充填する、
請求項6に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記低密度気体の注入を開始する前までに、前記ガス注入口および前記ガス排出口以外の、前記筐体の内部と外部とが連通した隙間を閉塞する、
請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記密閉された筐体内に前記低密度気体を注入する間、前記磁気ディスクを回転させる、
請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記低密度気体はヘリウムである、
請求項1に記載の磁気ディスク装置の製造方法。
